How much health has the ally? Shouldn't be put 2 health dice on him?

      Hi Jan.
Yes you should place 2 D10 dice on the ally cards for their HP.
I am currently on holiday till May 1st so not at my computer to check to specific HP for this ally card. Please note that this game was played with our early prototypes and we didn’t use D10 dice then, we were using D20’s. What I sometimes did to save using multiple dice, is just use 1 D20, and to represent 38 for example I would have the die on 18 and when it gets to 0, take it back to 20! That’s just a bad habit of mine from Magic the Gathering. I would recommend watching these older videos with a pinch of salt, as lots changed during the production stages of our game. The most recent solo mode videos are the ones I played on TTS and even those are not fully updated. I have not had time to record any new ones just yet, but I will do very soon.
      Best wishes,
      Damian’s

Can I still late pledge for an extra copy, Damian? And when should this be delivered?

    • @heroesoftheshire4681
      @heroesoftheshire4681  6 місяців тому

Hi Jan. Yes you can still order for a few more weeks till we sell the final remaining copies. Then there will be a 1.5yr wait for anymore stock to be printed. If you’re in the EU delivery will be processed within a few days of the order. I would estimate 2 weeks from placing the order to receiving it.
      Best wishes,
      Damian

Hi Damian, are these rules still up to date or do you have a more recent how to play a solo/coop game?

Hi Niels. No, this is an old video. Please see my TTS solo demo here: ua-cam.com/video/R-_jr8FcIM0/v-deo.html which is more recent. This video doesn't have the final changes we made, which were not many, but one important one. Cooldown dice stay on hero boards after combat. Page 25 of the rulebook for what happens during a board reset. Many thanks, Damian

The d20s on the mobs should be replaced with damage tokens instead 1 on one side 3 on back and 5/10 for larger.
It’s a very well designed system and finding the correct side on a d20 is just not gonna work.
Apart from that the cd system is awesome.
I would make the board with the available spells dynamic so it grows over time. Recessed boards are good for that.
The burn condition is quite vague: burn + burn should be burn 2 not 1.

Hi Kosteri. Thank you kindly for the feedback, we appreciate it. Whilst we do like you system you’ve described for dealing damage, we chose the dice as we wanted to be a little different. The tokens feel the same as gloomhaven for example. We are only recommending the dice, of course you would be welcome to record the damage however you like. The game will come with lots of -1 all the up to -5 tokens. If you’re playing a scenario or solo there would be plenty of tokens to record the damage this way. The same as true for some feedback we have had about where to place the CD die. Whilst we recommend over the spell as it lets your brain know that the spell is now in-active with the dice over it. Many people have said that they will place the CD die in the bottom right over the text that says CD. As this allows them to continue reading the spells. Again this is a welcomed way to play if that’s how people choose :) We’re only giving recommendations on how we like to play and record. Once again thank you for your feedback and taking your time to watch our play-through. All the best, Damian - Creator

@@heroesoftheshire4681 i totally agree with those backers - i want to see WHAT exactly is cooling down. It adds agency and stimulates immersion.
to use something "just to be different" is not a valid argument in itself, the game should have unique selling points - your game has enough USP already. Always choose what has been proven to work...
GH uses stickers and requires purchase of several extra gaming tables. I like your game because it fits on a normal table.
the use of ally (here a warrior) as a simplified hero has been done before, in Oathsworn.
Aeon's End also uses dice for CD timers.
It's good to reuse proven mechanics, it lowers the threshold for new buyers. In short, to use something from somewhere else that is more practical is always better than to follow the urge to be different.
there is a different feel in "rotating a die while searching for a number" vs "throwing damage tokens onto the portrait" of an enemy. Just my 2$.

@@heroesoftheshire4681 I saw you wasting time finding the right minus. The bowl of -x with all the x 1..6 doesn't work. How about you use red dice (preferable blood red) instead, that saves you 6 times the searching. So instead of finding a -1 modifier, place a die with a 1 that means a malus because it's red. Or alternatively write -1, -2.. -6 on the sides of such a die.
      Please give it a try.
the less administrative components the better. We don't want another Dungeon Lords.

@@kosterix123 Thank you for your feedback. This is something we considered early on in design. Some of our heroes and villains have spells that remove buffs. Some remove all buffs, some remove just one buff. The issue here is that if you had 2 buffs on the same turn, you wouldn't stack the dice you would simply change the value of the die itself. If a villain or hero has a spell to remove a buff, you wouldn't know what amount to remove. This is because you wouldn't stack the dice for obvious reasons. However this doesn't effect you personally doing this. I do this sometimes in a large multiplayer game when the bowl of tokens isn't within reach. Instead of asking someone to pass me the bowl or token i just use a dice. Whilst mixing and matching. I would then use a token if a stack was required on the same number of turns. Also note that the tokens i have here are not the correct amounts that would come in the game. I have x2 bowls, one for status conditions and one for buffs. In my status condition bowl i have lots of conditions in there that are not in the game anymore and many many duplicates. The same if true for the numbers, i actually have all the HP regen and the +50% dmg and -50% dmg conditions in with the numbers, of which the +50 and -50% don't exist anymore. This is because i've ordered many prototpyes and ended up adding all the new tokens the same bag of old tokens as throwing them out makes me sad! In the final game, the buffs will have positives on one side the negative on the other. In my prototype tokens, only some of them are like this, some are old and have duplicates of the same number etc.. We learnt that revision of the tokens after playing ourselves with the prototype and deciding the make it easier to find them. The bowl for numbers should only have numbers 1-5 that's it. Finding the number you want shouldn't be hard work. Whilst finding a condition is a little harder as there are more of these. We will look to produce a tray in an expansion for ease of use. At present the game is huge, we have no room to make it any larger whatsoever, hence why we will look to do this in an expansion alongside 3d mini's and more. Hope that helps clarify our decision a little. Again thank you for your feedback, it's much appreciated. We use all this feedback to help the game become as good as it can be :) Damian - Creator
