Somehow this version of Joker looks a bit goofy and the sculpt looks like they took a normal Heath Ledger headsculpt and added some Joker makeup on him.
I think that is probably because it would save them money if they ever had to make a heath ledger character without sculpted scars

The tailoring is a step up and absolutely love the seamless forearms & wrists! Transitions from "action figure" to articulated statue. I go for realism over poseability so I hope to see more of that in the future

Mine arrived the other day. Pretty excited to have it on display as I missed out on the DX version. Love the seamless arms, I agree with the head sculpt and rooted hair.

I don't mind the head sculpt as much as some people seem to, for two reasons. Firstly I think the hair works imo, it's straggly and looks unkept and dirty. Secondly the headsculpt with some of the paint having come off the head is crucial for the interrogation scene if you want to be as screen accurate as possible. Overall I think it's superior to hot toys release in many ways, the clothes look tighter and more fitted, the hot toys suit pants look baggy in comparison.

Dude why am I just seeing this? This figure looks incredible I ordered right away. I actually really like that sculpt at certain angles!

For those seamless arms, maybe do a phicen thing where the hands are articulated under the silicon. I think it could be the future of arms and bodies.

In my opinion from some angels I get a Pennywise look. I have been trying to find a joker for my collection, and I think this is a strong contender. I probably will change out the head out, maybe for the DX head sculpt. Thanks for the video!

I actually quite like the headsculpt and paint, it looks like Heath Ledger and at least on the video it looks good. I only dislike the hair colour, could be darker and more layered.

Would’ve been amazing to see this joker and the dx 11 mixed and matched a bit to try to make a really good looking Heath ledger joker, like swapping the jackets and pants for example

I prefer the DX11, to me this new one seems to have a bigger head and like you I'm not in love with the smile, but since I still don't have a Joker from the DK movie maybe I'll hunt for it.

Hey Justin, I'm getting this parted out. So, what type of body is it? I know it has the custom forearms, but is it just a 3rd party body with custom forearms? Is it a remodeled body version of the TTM 22 or something? Just wanna get an equivalent body for my bash/custom. Thanks & great review!

I'm a hairdresser-if you diffuse the hair and futz with it it SHOULD turn out more like Heath Ledger. Just be VERY careful about the heat level

Hi Justin I have a question about this figure. Is it easy to change the forearms, or when you insert the basic forearms (with junctions and pegs not paintend) when you want to remove them it’s difficult?
Heat them up first then remove them

The DJ head sculpt looks strange. Like a cross between Bill Skarsgård as Pennywise and Cameron Monaghan as J. Valeska from Gotham.
Works fine as a killer clown, just not as Heath Ledger.
The Hot Toys HS you used at the end does look great. Very easy to recreate the part of the interrogation scene where the Joker laughs and exclaims « I don’t want to kill you! ».
One question about the arms: is it possible to install the arms the other way around, so that his palms face down instead of up?
This way he could rest them on the table as in the film.

I think the sculpt is pretty well done, but there should be much more of that smudged red paint on his lips and scars - then I think he would've looked way more sinister and screen accurate too. This one is just too clean.

If I didn’t own a fire toys joker and there wasn’t a DX 20 coming out , I would buy this one ☝🏻, the price isn’t too much, and it comes with solid accessories.

It's definitely over priced imo. But I do like it.
The rooted hair isn't the problem on joker here it's more so the fact the style is just slicked back a bit, nothing like his hair in film but his hair wasn't green and not bright green, it was like his face where it was a lot the original colour with the joker colour dry brushed over it crudely so it only hits the high areas like his face. but on female hair it should be sculpted still, joker could've been great with it.

To be honest with hot toys it's just the name you are paying for I have experienced many issues with the original company 3rd party might be better and hopefully 3rd party company's might and likely improve but don't forget hot toys started off being quite low quality so we need to give the 3rd company's a chance

The expression they chose for this head sculpt is pretty strange- I don’t ever remember Ledger expressing that one-sided smirk like that in the movie. The hair is too long and too bright. Throws off the sculpt even more. I think cutting the hair and changing the color would be a quick and simple mod to make this guy look better.

I own every Joker except the Heath Ledger version.
I think Heat Ledgers likeness is very difficult to capture. Hot Toys is the only one who got close but not 100%
I think a custom head sculpt is the only solution to this Heather Ledger Joker. This DJ Custom is pretty bad imo. 👎🏼

That head sculpt is absolute garbage, for a guy who knocks everything that isn’t photo carbon copy of the real actor, not sure how you didn’t bash this more as it looks nothing like Heath Ledger as Joker. nice hair lol.
