Randomat idea: Cool dudes don't look at explotions; evil people do. If anyone looks at an explotion, the game announces they are evil. If someone is near an explotion and looks away, they get frozen for three seconds.
They're just learning about the powers of telefragging. A concept that's been in video games practically forever for first person shooters, famous from DOOM and Quake, and famous most importantly for being something in Source engine games. I'll give them a smidgen of a pass since a lot of teleporters that are built into maps just get them stuck into each other instead of telefragging.

@@Candlemancer Vikings didn't burn bodies on boats? Again, this is a misconception. "Ship burials" didn't set boats on fire, they just buried the boat. Cremations happened on a pyre like in any other culture that cremated their dead.
