+FTM Pawss Riven is in my opinion not hard to master at all. But then again thats just my opinion ^^
DanjEU depends from person to person x) Vayne wasn't that hard to master for me (in fact she is one of my favorite ADC's) playing with riven is one thing but mastering her is an another. you gotta know how to combo or you will lose so much potential, same goes with rengar,if you can't combo good/correctly you're just shit lol :P, been playing rengar for half a year and the combo still is a bit hard to pull off, you really need to put time and effort in it :) same goes with riven, I don't really know the combo but I know there is one. (same goes for LB but she is so easy to pull off, combo: E+Q+R+W)
***** I'm a leblanc main, I feel like she isn't that hard to master but the main difficulty with her is that you need perfect positioning and map awareness. Also the LB combo you posted is very easy to counterplay against, a better combo would be W + Q + R + E or W + R + Q +E but this one requires really fast reactions :P And i 100% agree with you on the rengar thing.
DanjEU been training much, rarely miss a skillshot, the trick is to not keep spamming abilities, wait for the right moment, so the E+Q+R+W combo works perfectly fine, and it does the most damage, as you said you need fast reactions, there are no wait for the stun to go off just E+Q+R in a fast way so it looks like your W is doing all the damage, so there is no time for counterplay if you do it in a quick succession ;) and I've noticed that the ''wrong'' LB (you know, ya passive) is the one without items, just realised that for like a month ago xD
Majority of the clips here are actually pretty good split-second reaction Q's and W's to counter out burst dmg. Can't understand why so many ppl complain about his simple kit when it has so much built-in counterplay for both against and for the Yi player to make use with to outplay his opponents. Master Yi main here btw.

People who are hating on cowsep are bronze low elo players. Cowsep is playing on a Korean server and is a diamond. It's much more the pressing Q+Auto. He has to time his abilities and finding the target he can kill to get the reset. You people hating on Cowsep literally go for the tank and don't do anything so please stay in your elo.

Niall Geoghegan yi relies mostly on farming jungle, he is a poor duelist pre 6 unless he has a advantage (item or exp). and also you don't get any kills in higher elo if you don't time your q's right. there is really rarely luck involved in diamond/master.
deathofpreyor just let him be. he's used to people standing still and autoing him so he believes kills are free xD.

It's hard to appreciate a master yi montage. Timing is crucial but it's hard to see from another perspective.

mechanically no yi is not with a high skill cap because of his kit in general and for everyone that says timing your q and w is hard it's very easy to tell when an apponant is going to do something if you know the champ not predict but the animation of the ability but you need to know when to ingage (dicision making) or take an objective in high Plat and low diamond

So most bronze, sliver and possibly gold players might say Yi is to ez to make a montage but take it from me its extremely hard to carry with Yi in high elo, diamond and above. Cowsep uses his q in a highly efficient way dodge most cc.So take it from me who play in diamond elo I rearly see a Yi carry so i must respect Cowsep for playing Yi and how he plays him

Dylan George Since i play a lot of champs that have some form of CC...Yi..Xin Zhao..and few champs that are hated....Are not a problem for me....Everyone that knows thats he doing with the champ knows when to stop him from getting a penta...those ppl just go Q....0.1 after they show up i stun them and they're dead.....Same goes with Riven and others...I dont even give them some time to use W and stun....Thats why only good people DO something usefull in fights...

EDIT: To be fair, Master Yi is not a hard champion to play at low levels, similar to Fizz or Leblanc. However, at a high level Yi takes a lot of skill for timing and such.
Bionic Potato welp yi is easy. i cant play league of legends at all, i really suck at it, but with yi i got diamond at onepoint i even was the 400 yi in the world according to lolskilled.

Bionic Potato Not saying that I can get a Korean diamond pentakill. But Yi is one of those champions that take less skill, compared to other assassin champs like ahri or zed. I'm shit at league and picked up this champion and actually started helping the team for once. Probably cause he has no skill shots. Really all you need with yi is good timing on when to q.
Josh Villa Timing can be difficult. Yi has an extremely low skill floor, but that doesn't mean he's easy to play at a high level.
So true even in silver they said yi is so easy to play. But most of the time I see a lot of people feed as master yi.

As a Master Yi main, I agree that he is "easy to play". He has a very simple kit, has no skillshots, and is completely auto-attack based. He's "OP" for low elos *bronze* because if the summoner is at all decent he can focus the right enemies or the opposing team has no idea how to use their cc properly. Plat + he is countered by any type of cc except slows (due to his ultimate)
I have a small question. When you use Yi's q to dodge turret fire and the likes, do you activate it once the animation seems to hit you, or slightly before it hits? I noticed Cowsep seems to actually activate q once he seems to get hit.
4:42 legit still to this day makes me shake from goosebumps. i love the edit XD and how the fight is so intense there. i really miss these intense 1v1 that doesnt happen anymore :/
When do you activate your E ? 1 Hit before you make the Double-Hit or after you jumped on the enemy with Q ?

olaf olafson if you think sated is more op you probably didnt play much when feral flare was released. You cant compare that to an item that can be stacked infinitely,

The same can be said for Katarina and Akali. People see them mop floor low elo with simplistic kits and easy combos but in high elo they take a large amount of skill to play effectively due to how easy it is to punish them on a single error.

1- Find an enemy
2- Be sure that he' s not more feed than you
3- Start following him with you R
4- Press Q-E-autoattack-autoattack-autoattack-Q-E
5- Repeat four times more
6- Get a Pentakill

Everyone is also forgetting when in a teamfight or a 1v1 he has to predict or react with insane speed to minimize damage with his W from hits he can't dodge which is so much harder than most people realize. Also as everyone who has a brain has said, timing his Q's to dodge skillshots and tower shots is also incredibly difficult at a high level and to pull it off consistently.

You guys forgot that you can also outplay with master yi to follow enemies, blinks, flash, dashes if timed well. I have done this many times as well as dodging cc and dmg with yi's q.
+Connor Bright AND also to Killsecure multiple killz, which is how i got my first penta as Yi :3, my second penta was me monstly outplaying, and then dodging a warwick ult in a 1v1 as top yi.

what is the best master yi build?

As of s6, go jungle and rush your devourer and farm hard to get stacks and enoughin the bank to immediately go for the GUINSOO'S RAGEBLADE. After that the build can go many routes but I like to go for the MERCURIAL SCIMITAR because unlike Yi mains like Cowsep, I am bad at timing my Q to dodge hard cc. Plus the item is all around a great item because it gives you that sustain and one of the highest raw AD numbers in the store. If that is not a problem for you and you just want to dish out more damage and shredding cuts then rush that BORK. YOUMUU'S GHOSTBLADE can also be another option if your'e kind of starving because it gives gorgeous stats which trumps tanks and squishies both and comes with a 1+1 beautiful active that is in my opinion better than the bork's own slow for 200 less gold. If the game hasn't ended by the time you finish these listed items then you are probably losing. If that is the case, build tank items to fill the rest of the slots and go split push because you are Yi with a bork.
