Having owned the Mercedes C350e for 3 years I’ve ordered my BMW 530e due in a few days . Looking forward to comparing both cars for quality and refinement, slightly concerned about the small fuel tank.
The 12 volt charger should not be to much in the car. The disc player still relevant to have. The back seat is not suitable for long journey hehe. The battery placement should ne the right place.
Great review, I did have a test drive in a 530e a few days ago and it was wonderful and there no way I could tell when it went from electric to petrol. And for me and can plug it in every day.
High-beam assist is a safety feature. Even last F10 520i priced at 330k has it, it is not a valid reason not to have it on the 530e. Other than that including Adaptive Cruise Control and Apple CarPlay or Android Auto is a gimmick, but people would compare it to the CBU 530i launched earlier. They are really nice feature to have

12V ports should still be standard. You will never know what other car gadgets will still require 12V and not usb. Things such as diffusers, purifiers, dash cams, laptop chargers and many more still needs 12V ports. Having just USB Ports can be a tad bit inconvenient
I think Apple Car Play and Android Auto should be standard feature at this price range...CD players are redundant, and so are the 12 volt chargers...include variable wattage/fast charging USB outlets for chargers....other than that..the G30 is just an amazing piece of German engineering
I think the diff in the range 450-600 is your driving style, if you’ve been spankin it in sports mode for a while it will give u sport driving range, but letting u know in eco pro u could get 600??? Just a thought?
47seconds in he mentioned this is the first ever BMW 5 series hybrid. I tot last time BMW had the Active 5 on the F10 platform leh? That's not hybrid meh? Unless he actually meant first "plug-in" hybrid... 🤔
Should have Harman Kardon sound system as standard on this segment. Dashboard in E350e looks better no doubt, but 5 series dash is much more practical and useable. And EuJin, i think u got confused the Sports mode with Adaptive mode, when the car decides for u what mode u should be in based on driving style and road ahead (from GPS).

Right now, Ford,Mazda,Toyota,Honda have 1.Adaptive Cruise Control 2.Rear View Camera 3.360 degrees Camera 4.Rear Cross Traffic Alert 5.Active Park Assist 6.Blind Spot Monitoring 7.Lane Departure Warning 8.Lane Keeping Assist 9.Forward Collision Warning 10.Driver Attention Alert 11.Autonomous Emergency Braking 12.Automatic High Beam Control as standard. But BMW that cheaper than 530e in Thailand has nothing. A 3.4 millions baht BMW 520d has not got a rear view camera while a 1.1 millions baht Nissan Navara has a 360 degrees camera. It's a shame. American reviewers also complain about this problem in their country.

Android auto as well but not a necessity by any means.

Gesture control is useless but it is cheap. In UK, it costs 160 pounds so gesture control is set as standard in Thailand.

Extra ciggies port would be good for gadgets like dash cam or fast charging cables as most build in usb are just standard charging

even close to 400k , the e350e especially the AMG variant are just better looking. Comparing the interior ,w213 is like another level.

BMW designs car for purists. So do compact disc players. compact discs delivers more pure sound than MP3 nor any other digital formats.

That extra weight and the tiny petrol tank is a turn off imo. I'd get the 530i instead.
