I watched a second time and was able to convert from 96 dpi to 300 dpi, but when I went to use 300 dpi image it's being recognized as 108 dpi. I learned that resizing image does affect dpi. It's best to resize in paint, then copy to Word. Thank you!

i create artwork on Power Point and then save each slide individually into jpeg, PNG and PDF. I tried to change the jpeg dpi from 92 to 300 dpi. I am not sure if it is because there are a lot of different photos each slide and they probably have different dpi. Any thoughts on how to get this done? I need to improve the pixel height and width, plus the dpi. Thank you for your help in advance.
This is a great tip! I had to surf quite a few videos before finding this! Wonderful - no need for external software

Hi. I'm a MS Paint noob. Thanks for posting this video. Unfortunately I'm running into some problems. Whenever I open the "Image Properties" on the "New Document" the dpi is set at 120. In this video yours is set at 300. I continued to follow your instructions anyway, and when I check the properties of the new saved JPEG the dpi is still low. Please help! What am I doing wrong here?

I don't understand the image on the left. I have a a gif that's 232x225 or 21kb. Also have the same image as a jpeg at 232x225 at 96 dpi. It's a band logo that is old and all I have. Trying to make t-shirts and the company making the shirts wants at least 300-600dpi. I tried following the lesson but am confused with the image on the left...Is it just a reference image at higher rez that I will be utilizing in order to get my resolution to the same standard? Will the quality of my image improve?
+Marty Oshinsky
Nothing to worry.
Image on left is an image which is already available with you of the desired DPI, say 300. One can get download such image from google images or clipart. Thereafter use this image as shown. Yet any problem, kindly get back!
Okay, Thanks Abby
Hallo. Great video. Just tried it out. Will the quality actualle get better? or will it just "change/cheat" in the properties? Will it be better quality for a printercompany wich wants actually 300DPI for advertising?
Frankly speaking the quality will remain unaltered. It is a tecnical video helpful for those who have to change the dpi for submission somewhere.
Brilliant. Thank you!

To convert png to 300 DPI I need to find an image saved as png, right? I find that the image I convert only gives me 192 DPI when saved.
However jpg is fine. I wonder if there is something I am not getting with the png?
You are right Mari.

I tried doing the same to convert a png to 300dpi, but seemed when I save it as png it reduce the dpi to lower resolution as low as 38dpi. Does this mean it only works on jpg and not png?
Thank you sooooooo much!!

Sorry to hear that. Check everything again.
Great..!!man Thank you so much
Dear lakshmi thanks for the appreciation and please share the video with your friends on FB, Instagram and Twitter.
So is this actually changing the image or is this a fairly easy way to change the metadata of the file. i.e. from 96 to 300 dpi and the file is really unchanged but we're changing the dpi setting in the metadata?
Change in DPI
@@AbbyDLima I think you're wrong. I think you are just adjusting metadata. Now that is helpful but
you are not upsizing the resolution with paint..it can't do that

Does it actually improve the quality of the picture? I tried it with a png file that was transparent but now its no longer transparent.
DPI stands for dots per inch. Obviously more the number of dots in a square inch, the more is the density of the image.
Does not work for PNG
Very good. Thanks

Done
So it technically worked...but when I upload to the Website that required the dpi larger, it still comes up as a smaller DPI...
It should not actually because this is genuine method.
nice
Kindly share this video with your friends on social media like Facebook, Instagram twitter etc.
Your technique worked for changing my 96 dpi to 200 dpi. Would you happen to have a paint file sample that is 300 dpi that i could use.
go to search on your computer and type 300 dpi and any pics that you have in your computer file will pop up... from there right click the pic and open up in microsoft paint.
