OMG! I was planning on moving to the Bahamas to be close to family but as a RN myself I could never work for that. I'm making 350k a year now. I do understand that the crime rate must be super low
Well I wouldn’t say super low but the country for the most part is safe. the pay rate is nothing compared to the US if that’s where you are. Is it travel nurse that you do?
The contract nurses aren’t allowed to be a part of the strikes because when the Bahamian nurses strike the institution would have them to fill the void.
I really enjoyed how you explain everything thing but it baffles me to hear that a nurse earning only 15 dollar. Then, I will like you to make a video specifically on what nurses are earning in Bahamas, in hourly, yearly and other parkages available for nurses. I said this bcos I'm conterplating to work in Bahamas If possible.
Yes it's only $15 unfortunately but the scarcity pay and uniform allowance brings it up to a little more. Hopefully in time it will increase. How much do you guys currently make if you don't mind sharing...are you in Nigeria?
In Nig we are earning monthly, the amount depends on level of Education and experience. Starting per month is 120, 000 some instution 60',000 so it depends. As for Bahamas, what I got in Google concerning payment is quite different from what I hear from you. I saw 41 dollars per hour.
Hi there, I highly doubt it especially pertaining to the Bahamas which was sorta why I started posting my videos. Of course the pay is going to be a little more but I really can’t say. Would say that they do not have as much opportunity for over time shifts. Try researching council for doctors in the Bahamas on google
The scarcity allowance is given as long as we’re working short staffed…..This was agreed upon by the union for Bahamian nurses…… I don’t think the contract nurses get this stipend.
Hello, I watch your videos all the time my daughter wants to become a nurse here in The Bahamas can you tell me i f she accepts the government grant how long does she has to work in the government system before she can move on after she's done or can she pay them back..
Hello, aww that’s awesome! Basically I think however long she’s on the grant for is how long she would have to work for to pay back in time ( I addressed this in my latest video) I hope she’s tuned in as well😌
Heyyy, at that point I may have been a nurse there at that hospital or in general for about 9 years I think with the masters degree the incentive is only about $50-100 more
I'm from Grenada and Nursing Assistant here are equivalent to an LPN because of the duration of schooling, which is 1 year or more for the Nursing Assistant course and about 6-9 months for a PCA. My present net income is $2,300+ a month ( being 7 years employed ) I mean a dollar is a dollar where ever you are. I think you're underpaid.... .......lol guess its a Caribbean thing 🤷♀️
lol that’s how I was too but I think you have to Do some uncomfortable things….but I think I was able to do smthn like this one because I’ll be outta here in no time. Counting down the days
Thank you so much for this information my beautiful sister, please i am interested. I am a registered nurse/ mental health nurse from Nigeria precisely, how do i start my nursing registration please. Thank u
@@thenurselife242 wowwww, so you’re telling me that our 4 quarters will equal y’all’s $1 bill? I can’t believe that y’all are only making that much. I’m a phlebotomist and I make more than you as a vampire just drawing blood. I’m so sorry. Are you planning to migrate?
Please nurse 🙏, can you please find out for us about a licence nurse with diploma in general nurse from Nigeria, to know is we are eligible to apply. I'm really interested. Secondly when I sent a mail and got the application form but was asked to apostille the documents, Nigeria don't apostille rather they authorise documents from ministry of foreign affairs, I want to ask, will it accepted if no please what's the alternative for apostille ❤
Finally some nurse info on the Bahamas ❤

However Bahamas still pays better than Nigeria
The salary is a bit lower for an RN in my view.
Regarding the gratuity it is 15% but here is the catch the institution can fire you at any time without notice and the gratuity may be forfeited.

Nope, that’s just the way it is….as a result many nurses are migrating. Our currency is one to one with the US dollar
