I respectfully disagree…… Melissa auf der Mayr as bassist and James Iha before his departure for a perfect circle was far superior to the Zeitgeist lineup. Machina and the machines of god was the Apex of The Smashing Pumpkins. Every song on featured on that album were perfect. I will say that this track, bleeding the orchid, and doomsday clock were phenomenal but not enough to make the Zeitgeist lineup stand against the 2000s Pumpkins. I’m glad Iha returned…. Really hoping Machina part Two comes soon!
sometimes ithink there's songs musicians dont get their due for because theyve already done so much....this is one of em...this is a great! alt rock song
mainstream music is in such a bad place right now. SP are are on of the only bands out there that makes real music. Even if you don't think this is as good as old SP we still need to support them. And hey Billy is a genius so he will just keep comin out wit better stuff.
YES!!! Thankyou!!! Finally a proper Pumpkins fan. I'm sick of people Whining about the music being about modern situations an without james an darcy. SP4ever! x
you have got to be kidding me, jimmy isn't a yes man. why would he have to agree with anyone? he's probably one of the greatest drummers in rock now. billy is lucky to have him, not the other way around
yeah, that's true. i don't get people complaining about Jeff not being lively.. because it's not like Iha was. When I saw them in Asheville I thought the new members did fine. (of course I saw them the night Billy coaxed Jeff in to playing with his teeth, lol)
thats because on the cd its Billy playing bass, lead, and rhythm guitar. He's also doing backing vocals too. When recording Zeitgeist, Billy didn't have his live crew yet. After the album was recorded he recuited the live crew like on Live Earth. That may be reason why all the songs sound better live off of Zeitgeist.
yep, he quit after the tour. they say billy will continue as smashing pumpkins with all touring musicians. i think its dead now. jimmy's drumming can't be replaced
Don't give a fuck what he does now. He was the best during Gish and Siamese Dream. MCIS was also big time. I'm thrown way back to why I still care about this guy. Growing up, he was the shit. Freak is an awesome song. Eh.....
thanks alot to you guys for letting me know who were the orignal memebers were. and to PaidYouOff how am i being lazy, i just asking other sp fans a question. though it is my fault that i didnt find them earlier. oh and i bout melion collie and the infinite, one word......awesome
Yeah, the network that the TV show is on is the one to take it down.. They want to make money from their shows through advertising - rather than them being given away for free on youtube.
While I understand that viewpoint, and I did see that interview, that interview was filmed before she had talked about her solo album. It is pure speculation to say either way.
no, it's not a delonge strat, the delonge strat has only one volume knob. I thought the same thing myself. Corgan's guitar has more than one knob. same color and everything though, i know this because i own one.
I don't know if I ever responded to this, but I know all my friends do, but I mean I'm talking about in general. It seems like even the hardcore fans were a little divided though. Anyways, when I posted that comment I don't think I completely understood the way pumpkins had been boxed in by their hits, which I think contributed as well to a general aura of disappointment with Zeitgeist upon its release. I didn't listen to them then, so this is really just based on what I've read since.
Billy will always be stunning and amazing... But i still want to see him play with his original pumpkins members- D'Arcy, Jimmy, and James... I miss "THE SMASHING PUMPKINS"
This album was incredible very underrated
This song is very shoegaze. The droning feedback, the white noise strumming, it's all so beautiful.
Jimmy Chamberlain is a terrific drummer!
This song alone was worth buying Zeitgeist for.
Yup.
And Doomsday clock!
That whole album was insanely good. It's incredibly underrated and honestly maybe my favorite overall Pumpkins album with Siamese Dream.
It sure was...which is why I bought it when it came out
I remember being in 9th grade and this was the song that made me find the Smashing Pumpkins. Been in love with them since.
This is a stunning song.
Those synths are amazing
Don't give a shit if a lot of orginal bandmembers left. This band is still awesome. And I love this song. Thnx for uploading.
Next to the original lineup, this was the best version of the Pumpkins. Ginger Reyes and Lisa, the keyboardist, kicked ass.

Nicole was definitely the most talented pumpkin bassist on record.
Probably the best song on the very good new album from the Smashing Pumpkins.
RIGHT!/? I love how he combines hard rock with shoe gaze in this one.
Still one of the best Pumpkins song since 2007.
Still hear the MBV influence in them to this day.
I love billy corgan!!! This song should have been big!!! its really good!!! i love this song live!!!
I don't know why, but I really find this song moving. More so than "Tonight, Tonight" even...I can't put my finger on it.
Same
Feels like home.
I love this song. And I love this performance 🖤
Excellent song, one of the greatest.
Shoegaze for the win.
Billy Corgan is the best... Good sounds til now. Thank you to the Pumpkins, old and new
That Is What We Need, That Is What We Love.
sometimes ithink there's songs musicians dont get their due for because theyve already done so much....this is one of em...this is a great! alt rock song
Such a great song! Great album!
What a band, what a song
This is a great song!
I love Ginger.
This song is so good, it reminds me of the feel that Zwan had.
Love the grungy guitar.

YES!!! Thankyou!!! Finally a proper Pumpkins fan. I'm sick of people Whining about the music being about modern situations an without james an darcy.
SP4ever! x
i love this song
SP must to come in Brazil...
i don't know why people complain about the new members not being lively on stage, thats not what the smashing pumpkins are about.
great song !!!
Well said Zeonoid.
this song is like if _Machina II_ was made by Zwan, or something like that…
me too, they were the best
underrated song
Alto sonido mágico.
you have got to be kidding me, jimmy isn't a yes man. why would he have to agree with anyone? he's probably one of the greatest drummers in rock now. billy is lucky to have him, not the other way around

yeah, that's true. i don't get people complaining about Jeff not being lively.. because it's not like Iha was.
When I saw them in Asheville I thought the new members did fine. (of course I saw them the night Billy coaxed Jeff in to playing with his teeth, lol)
Jeff is awesome. So glad he's still in the band.
genial poesía hecha música !!!
billy is and always will be the pumpkins
so true
Il mio pezzo preferito da Zeitgeist
my gawd, Ginger looks amazing.
thats because on the cd its Billy playing bass, lead, and rhythm guitar. He's also doing backing vocals too. When recording Zeitgeist, Billy didn't have his live crew yet. BJORK was there in novemeber i hope smashing pumpkins play too in Peru !!!!!
Ginger Reys the 3 best of bassist for a smashing pumpkins heuejejen
Damn she's hot!
and it was GOOD. more than that.
You've got the right idea.:)
Don't give a fuck what he does now. He was the best during Gish and Siamese Dream. MCIS was also big time. I'm thrown way back to why I still care about this guy. Growing up, he was the shit. Freak is an awesome song. Eh.....
i hate people that complain they should get the band back together, they have been invited back multiple times but they turned billy down each time
thanks alot to you guys for letting me know who were the orignal memebers were. and to PaidYouOff how am i being lazy, i just asking other sp fans a question. though it is my fault that i didnt find them earlier. oh and i bout melion collie and the infinite, one word......awesome
comment on billy for all u want. i still love they way he is and the new pumpkins. as a fan, we should support them and their decisions
dude, you should've made that question about 20 years ago, because now it seems really normal hah
oooh on my birthday too!!
I want to see more shots of the keyboard player.
pumpkins wouldn't be the pumpkins without his voice. its unique and it fit the earlier angst driven songs best
Yeah, the network that the TV show is on is the one to take it down.. They want to make money from their shows through advertising - rather than them being given away for free on youtube.
This is why billy is my hero
SPEAK THE TRUTH
While I understand that viewpoint, and I did see that interview, that interview was filmed before she had talked about her solo album. It is pure speculation to say either way.
no, it's not a delonge strat, the delonge strat has only one volume knob. I thought the same thing myself. Corgan's guitar has more than one knob. same color and everything though, i know this because i own one.
their current bassist is the hotter one. i love how he replaced darcy and james with nobody look alikes, proving that they could easily be replaced.
Its a shame, seems he's stuck. He can't market himself like he can the Pumpkins, but few seem enjoy playing with him.
hot bassist
Billy will always be stunning and amazing... But i still want to see him play with his original pumpkins members- D'Arcy, Jimmy, and James... I miss "THE SMASHING PUMPKINS"
wow....nice performance..and ginger...:D
