I think people think more.of what they can't do or what they dont have to start. Nothing will start perfectly! Focus on your skills and what you do have to offer people. Everyone is unique in their own way! Just do it, because you can!
the whole things well thought out, cept you mentioned rainsg the basket up to tuck the front mower wheels under, but it fits just fine and loads up super fast and easy, WELL DONE
about to do the same setup on my 2017 f250. a little extra room for a push mower currently have 52 ztr but not sure if thats too big if i wanna increase my profits in small neighborhoods
Very nice setup. I am seriously considering doing this with my truck. I am tired of pulling a trailer AND trailer maintenance. It would mean only carrying one mower at a time but, it’d be worth it. I’m solo anyway.
Did you guys build this yourself? Actually thinking of doing this to my 2005 dodge ram 1500 quad cab.. figured I can do my measurements and what not when I take the bed off to replace the fuel pump.
Hello Jonathan, I know you don't have this truck anymore. I do have an 02 Ranger 4.0 4x4. I want to haul around a 36" stand on. My question is how did your Ranger handle the weight of the payload? Any Trans problems, shocks bottom out etc.?
I saw your other video about this same truck and loved it. Saw this one and loved it more! I am a minimalist by nature, and hope to be doing my lawn trailer setup video soon. I would love to have a truck with a dovetail body like that, but I collect 2-4 yards of grass and shrub trimmings daily, thus, am forced to use a trailer/pickup setup. Awesome vid!
That truck super dope but looks very pricey. Lawn machine pricey but you got to start somewhere. Thinking of getting into the game but got tons to compete with. Very nice & clean set up, top notch brother... 👍! Thanks good video 😁!
Hi Jonathan. Are you charging $50 a cut all year and if so how many cuts a year? In Tampa the average is $30 a cut for a standard lot and that is 42 cuts a year. Thank you for your content.
I was just wondering if you have the blueprints for the truck layout? I plan on doing this for my lawn care business next year and needed something that will set my business apart. I think having a truck like that was set me apart, open up doors and invite new customers by showing them I'm serious and what I do.
Good video I have a question if you can answer ? How much did you spend on this truck to make it like that I saw some similar trucks on my area and want to make one too looks better then hauling a trailer just for mowing yards
Cupido Landscaping Hi, I did another video on the details of this setup. I also put a list of details in the description of that video.. I think it was “Best residential lawn care truck”
Discharge blocker on mower? If not how is clean up of clippings? I have a scag 36 stander with the mulch plate and it's great. before the plate, clean up on some yards took to much time. I would like to hear your opinion on that
fact seekers having the discharge chute on the mower causes more clippings to clump when it's wet, so we just take it off, and it does a lot better job dispersing the grass evenly.
Love it man! That skies looking to familiar all summer huh! Diggin the polo shirts! May have to consider them next year, where did you get them, and how much were there for how many shirts you have? Dryfit?
Ken Boxx everything is 1/4 to 1/2 acre... 36" works perfect. I have 1 one acre property, and 1 two acre property. 36" is TERRIBLE for those yards. I will be letting both those yards go at the end of this year.
I know you talked about that storage box being to low on another video but it wouldn't be hard to take a cutting wheel to it and re weld and raise it up another 6-8 inches. Just looks like wasted space.
Ron Hughley ha ha, spoken like a true lawn care professional. That's really funny, because I have always said the exact same thing. What a weird spot to put a fire hydrant especially in such a beautiful lawn.
What about if your customer wants some brush hauled off or some bushes trimmed and you need to haul that stuff away? Lost revenue when already on a property. What about tools to repair something that breaks? Or spare parts? Nothing Like being 20 miles from home and not have what you need. That’s the only downfall I see with this setup.
I know this is a 5 year old comment, but based off of the language in the video, he’s probably not venturing far from the house/shop. Probably has a tight route density
What is a stick edger? What happens if the mower breaks and goes in the shop for 3 weeks? Or 1 week? Or 3 days? Who removed all the sheet metal from the truck and put the cage in? He raised the foot stand of the mower before loading it up. Do you unload it the same way? A machine that big doesn't need to be moving downward at me. It has brakes, right? $50 per yard? Not in MY state! That yard on the corner looked pretty big, but it still wouldn't bring $50 for me. $40-45 at most. 15 yards without moving the truck? That's a joke, right? I think you're exaggerating. What's the advantage of taking on a helper if you have to split the cash? Are you paying him less than $25 per yard and taking a cut of his half? Is the inability to come up with the cash to invest in trucks and equipment the only thing keeping him from starting his own business and keeping the whole $50? That is true dedication to productivity when you won't even turn off the blower before starting up the camera.
I like how you kept it simple. I need to get over my fears and just start my own business.
Do it !!! You’ll never regret it.... best decision of my life.
Me too

Man that looks so clean and functional. Just starting out and will be piecing things together but love your setup and philosophy.
the whole things well thought out, cept you mentioned rainsg the basket up to tuck the front mower wheels under, but it fits just fine and loads up super fast and easy, WELL DONE
Nice to see a video of you out in the field, thanks for sharing!

Your doing it right buddy! keep killing it!!! oh yeah..... we need more videos
Did you guys build this yourself? Actually thinking of doing this to my 2005 dodge ram 1500 quad cab.. figured I can do my measurements and what not when I take the bed off to replace the fuel pump.
I like that you don't carry extra stuff on your truck. Neat setup.
such an awesome little rig
My dream setup right there
Finally IN ACTION, Awesome.

Love that truck, how much for the truck bed conversion??

I'm glad you like the video. I look forward to seeing a video of your setup.
How did it affect your fuel mileage over pulling a trailer. I'm sure it went up a couple mpg
Love love love this set up.

Awesome setup.
Nice setup
Nice truck set up looks like a trailer merged into your truck. Never seen that before.
Hi Jonathan. Are you charging $50 a cut all year and if so how many cuts a year? In Tampa the average is $30 a cut for a standard lot and that is 42 cuts a year. Thank you for your content.
Donavan lee majority of my size lawns are $40-60. We cut March through Nov.
But the real question is, can the truck pop a wheelie with all the stuff on the back?
😂
doubt it, the backside isn't even sagging like these lifted pavement princess' would xD
That's the perfect setup I want.

Great setup! What size engine, v6 or v8? When is your new setup video coming out? Thanks

I bet you wish you would have raised the storage box (next to the cab) up another 4" to get the deck mower under it?
Great captions lovely video mate
Did you buy your truck like that or did you remove the bed and install your wire bed that is shown in your setup?
nice setup, quick and efficient
Good video I have a question if you can answer ? How much did you spend on this truck to make it like that I saw some similar trucks on my area and want to make one too looks better then hauling a trailer just for mowing yards

Hi, most people in my city want lawn clippings taken... How come it's not the same in your city?
Love the setup, how much do the modifications run, or was it done in house???
CP Lawncare Services $2500 at our local trailer manufacturer

Does that 36in work out on larger properties? I run a 48 and 36 but on got some 1acre yards!

Would like to see a F150/Silverado setup like that.
Fred Bates An F150 will be our next move.
Can I ask where did you buy or find the landscape bed for the ranger? and how much it cost to install and the equipment itself? Thanks!!!!
I drew up a sketch and a local welder custom made it for me. Total cost was about 2500. But that was 7 years ago.
What kind of bed ramp is that ? Is it custom? About how much was it?
dude I love ur setup. keep it simple stupid. I like that.
I know you talked about that storage box being to low on another video but it wouldn't be hard to take a cutting wheel to it and re weld and raise it up another 6-8 inches. Just looks like wasted space.
what is it called to get that ramp done or how would you even get the back end of that truck done?

Ron Hughley ha ha, spoken like a true lawn care professional. That's really funny, because I have always said the exact same thing. What a weird spot to put a fire hydrant especially in such a beautiful lawn.
Very efficient.
What happens when that truck breaks down? Do you have a backup truck and trailer?
A&S Lawnscapes yes. I started with my personal truck and a utility trailer.
What engine is your ford ranger
Have your set up changed?
Roughly how long do you guys work a day and how many yards per day?

Contact a trailer manufacturer... then show them the money.
