Paul, I was wondering if we can submit video questions? I want to take a video of a still life setup and explain my question by actually pointing at the subject while talking. Thanks 👍
Hi Shawn! Love your studies. Did you start with color spots, then choose a top and bottom like the still life approach? If not, what was your original approach? Thank you, Paul, for the landscape critiques - very helpful!
Thanks Norma! Actually I did not begin these paintings like a still life approach. I was shooting for a Monet broken color. So I would fleck a small color note with a single stroke and continue to do so in pursuit of developing one harmonious field. Maintaining the unity of the field was constantly informing my decisions in adjusting color, value, etc.
I like the furniture arrangement of this video!
