I immediately came here after watching the episode and checked to see if you posted the review and BAM! You sure did! I agree about season one, I’m hoping this season will be much better. This first episode was not bad, I could be wrong but the doll makers house looked like the murder house. Why they took out the black girl like that? 🥴 … but I liked the twist at the end. This actually was a good season opener and I loved the ending and connection to AHS S3 Coven. I felt we was going that route when she moved the car with no strings attached. I loved that part. I wanted more kills so I think introducing maybe 3 new dolls on top of the 5 that got killed I wanted to see a group killing. We need MORE HORROR AND GORE RYAN. The Stories is good so far though.

I'm not certain, but Coby looked a lot like she could've been "Anna Leigh Leighton" the Supreme before Fiona-- the one she killed to become Supreme, but they never mentioned what she was changing her name to. I loved that we got Spaulding's origin story either way. And of course Little Myrtle 🥰 I really found this episode to be relevant given the current "war on womanhood": Van Wirt (the father) was forcing these women to participate in a "pageant" to become a perfect specimen of womanhood as he defined it- be beautiful, be domestic, be silent, etc. I also couldn't stand the maid doll. After being trapped there all that time, she gets her hands on a weapon, and her very first instinct is to go after Coby instead of bashing that dude's skull in the next time he visited. smh 🤦🏽♀️ At the end, the shot of the miniature dollhouse with only that one room on fire seemed to be foreshadowing that the other stories to be told this season may each take place in one of the mini-house rooms. So all related to dolls though not one story (like AHS).

They need to just gone ahead and make a separate series strictly dedicated to the witches. As long as Queenie and Madison is there, I'll be tuned TF in.

I did stop watching American horror stories but it was good for what it was I guess but I really did enjoy s1 e1 bc it was based off of murder house but for AHS I didn’t enjoy the last season but I did like the one with the vampire more then I did with the ones with the aliens tho it’s def in my top 3 seasons I didn’t enjoy (if that makes sense). This episode sounds like that doll episode of criminal minds.

Anna Leigh Leighton became the Supreme in 1940 this story takes place in 1961 meaning that Coby can’t be Anna Leigh
