great vid! tony! great vid! nice vacuum molding process you got there, you just helped me alot. unfortunately i dont have a vacuum equipment,so i'm wondering what if i use half of the regular foam press on the top and a flat surface on the bottom, will it come out with same result as you do.?can you try this method for me if you have time?make a comparison vid will be great.
Thats pretty slick. I haven't seen the vacuum molders in use yet. What are the pro's and con's of the end product if any? Any real difference on the product or mostly just saving time?
. What are you talking about "Retention" &/or adjustment via the rubber tubing or washers on the screws. Traditional Kydex holster makers have been doing that for well over a Decade ! .
I've been making holsters for three years now. I am just now starting to figure out how to make my holsters using split molds. I have not bought any molds yet. For the holster in this video, what size Kydex planks are you using?
Very nice process. I'm looking for an outside the waste band, hip ride holster that will carry a 9mm Walther PPQ M2 with the Viridian X5L laser/light combo with ECR. Is this an option from Multi Holsters?
I have an HD200 and I am having a heck of a time trying to make taco holsters on it. I am use to a foam press and I don't have split molds like the ones you are using. Or, did you simply cut a standard drone in two?
+Gregory P hello. Sorry but I created Multi Molds not drones. We actually make the two halves so they are accurate and a true 50/50. We offer them on my site at www.multimoldguns.com. Thanks
What kind of ovens are you using...Would they work for ABS 3/16" (0.177")thick for forming on a DIY Vacuum Former using a vacuum cleaner (not Membrane type)...I'm not doing Holsters....Usually the ABS is heated till it sags... Thanks
