You are so right...who doesn’t want a new car🚗 ,but just thinking of that extra payment each month makes me think twice.We have a savings account specially for that goal (car),we are hoping in getting it all cash or a least half of what it’s worth in the next two years.We are a family of 10 so we need to get a large SUV.

We currently have the saving towards a new car and are trying to make our current one work until we get there until we get taxes to go towards it instead of spending our savings now and I always buy either secondhand or on sale and I use as many cash back type apps as possible so I get something back on things I’d normally be buying and that goes towards Christmas for us

Yes... thinking of that payment keeps me focused on using what we have! I def understand about saving for a long time for a car!
with my income tax i pay up my electric, water and enternet bills so i have no utility bills through the year so my checks go into savings.
Good tips! We're a one income family too and I like being able to stretch the dollar as much as possible. Insurance is a killer though!
