Masha'Allah. I've been looking for this lecture, I offer my utmost gratitude to this beloved Shaykh.
Beloved sisters and brothers, I can testify that after embracing Islam I've lost everything. I got retrenched from a senior position, divorced, a home and the list goes on. I became so angry that I ended up losing my Shahada because of what I had said but Alhamduliaah, Allah called me back again.
It took me very long to grasp the meaning as to why me, but it's simple. He warned me not to get married to my ex, but yet I knew better. Same goes for my job etc, I didn't listen and always placed Him second, until His mercy made Him no 1 again.
Allah guide us all and Allah (AJ) offer us all mercy. Inshallah

Reminded me of Omar Bin Al Khattab Saying:
