Shave a cat with stripes/spots, they got the same thing. When my cat Lynx had to be spayed, belly was shaved, and her bare belly had SPOTS like her fur. It was really fascinating!

The guys were mentioning how developed animal babies are. Fun fact: when humans were still early in development, our babies stayed in the womb for much longer, but as hips became more narrow from learning to stand up on two legs, humans started giving birth much sooner to accommodate the lack of room left to push a baby out without harm to the mother. When human babies come out of the womb, they're similar to how marsupial infants arent fully developed yet. We finish out development outside of the womb! The more you know!

@@GuedeGaGa Not really. That’s only true if they’re Ovoviviparous. Viviparous birth (a.k.a. live birth) is the same type of birth that humans have. In this type of birth, the female snake holds the offspring in placenta or yolk sacs inside of her until they are ready for birth.

Zach, no. It's actually pretty recommended that pregnant humans DO give birth in that position, with help from midwives etc obviously, as it's often considered more beneficial/less dangerous. In fact it was the norm before western medicine got as invasive and we were forced to be on our backs instead. May have been as a joke, but ill informed.
My boss gave birth while standing lol. Her midwife let her.

The reason they do it like that now is because so many babies were being dropped, and it’s also easier to stitch the woman up if she has any vaginal tearing so she doesn’t have to worry about moving and can just worry about her baby.
Actually, most birthing tables are only semi recumbent. The woman is sort of reclining with her feet in stirrups to aid in pushing while still being secure. However, women are allowed to assume any position that feels comfortable in any facility, it's their right.

I had a teacher in high school who on her first day working told us a story of how she was inspired to become a teacher. She was working on a horse farm with children and she was helping a horse give birth. As the the children and her were assisting the newborn horse she picked up the placenta and held it up to the light. She looked into the placenta and saw shiny and reflecting rainbows shining through the flesh and knew that she wanted to teach.... she was fired after that first year

No Eugene the most traumatic experience of life is giving birth.
No, because it can be remembered and pain can be traumatic but nowhere near as traumatic as all of a sudden just existing. From the nothing to being squeezed out a vise so hard it warps your skull, into a bright, loud, cold world where every sense hits you at once..I think thats a little more traumatic.
@@GarrettPDGA This is just an empty theory. For all we know newborns don't give a fuck, at that stage they're just following instincts They can't remember or learn anything. I think "trauma of birth" theories are pretty dumb and there are more useful issues for psychology to tackle.

2) The goo that comes out of the sac is called AMNIOTIC FLUID, it is either clear or yellow but then blood mixes in.
