  • The most amazing riding I think we have experienced in this trip, pretty uneventful until we reached the turn off at Cranberry Junction when the gravel road took us through a beautiful lush forest road that was in excellent condition. We stopped a couple of times to admire the stunning rivers and waterfalls along the route.
A stop at Gitlaxt'aamiks saw us refreshed with a coffee then a lovely lady just pulled up her car and offered us some home cured salmon jerky, really kind and unexpected gesture, for which we were greatly appreciative.
We rode on through the lava fields stopping once at the Vetter falls which I wont even try to describe they were so amazing.
The rest of the ride saw us shadowing the Lava Lake, Sand Lake then Kitsumkalum Lake, each as beautiful as the next, with the wide, well kept road following closely the shoreline. Accommodation the Lodge at Skeena Landing in Terrace with an Indian restaurant on site was an absolute bonus. A most fantastic of days.
The next day was a short ride to Prince Rupert ready for the 18 hour ferry journey next day to Vancouver Island so we took the opportunity to wash the bikes before sampling what turned out to be an excellent breakfast at Denny’s before starting the ride.
