Great to hear you fixed the misfire, and it was something so easy. Vans looking awesome.

I hope so too 🙏 when I was trying to figure out what was causing my misfire after I swapped the coils, I could not find a video nor an article breaking down all the potential causes. Thanks for dropping by!

Hey my pressure gauge fluctuates from 50-60 very bouncy what would you think Chris? Bad fuel pump or spider injection?

Very well done video. Code 300 is a nightmare. You organized it very well.

i have a 1998 gmc safari with the same problem and same code about 2 years ago and my issue is that it would fill up with posture causing the points on the distributor cap to corrode what i did to fix the problem was to buy a marine-grade cap and rotor made out of brass that's hydrophobic meaning water doesn't stick to it do that and most likely that will fix you i know you fixed your issue but in the future this may be something helpfull
    cheers

What’s up man, love your Disastro videos. I just recently had a super cool guy break into my 2000 Astro and try to steal it. He cracked open my steering wheel column cover and in the process cut one of the wires to the steering wheel on top of flat heading my ignition coil. I spliced the wire together and can get a key in my ignition but now I’m getting a P0300 code. Can this be because of the wiring, or is it unrelated?

I appreciate the gesture, but making LOADS of mistakes on my other channel allowed me to use what I learned on this one. I’ve had multiple comments throughout my Astro videos mentioning you and how great you are, do not discount yourself 🙏

    I have a 2003 DODGE CARAVAN SE V6 3.3L
The minivan is giving me a P0300 code.
I turned on the engine and left it idling.
Connected a test light to a ground and connected a vacuum gauge to a vacuum port on the upper intake manifold.
I did a cylinder drop test using the test light while removing one wire at a time from the coil pack and observing the vacuum gauge needle for movement.
As i was removing one wire at a time from the coil pack using the test light the vacuum gauge needle was not moving so i can know which exact cylinder is misfiring.
Do you happen to know why the vacuum gauge needle was not moving?
I uploaded videos on my channel so you can see the tests i did can you check them out, please?

I have a 2001 astro and every morning it cranks but doesn’t start only after trying for like 15 min. Usually my battery dies. Whats weird is in the afternoon it starts after like 3 cranks. I checked fuel pressure and that is ok. Also once it starts one time in the day it doesn’t do it again until next morning so i feel it has something to do with the weather .

I replaced my fuel injector with an acdelco fuel injector and the pressure still bleeds off when I turn the engine off. Could it be the fuel pump causing this?

Great video, i have a 1993 Astro and it is stuttering at more then 50 percent throttle, i heard that the throttle position sensor can cause this, do you know anything about it.
But what i also wanted to say is, that you are doing the best Astro Videos on YT :-)

I would check your fuel pressure. When I first bought this Astro, the van did just the same. The fuel pressure was reading something like 30PSI.
I have a fuel pressure tester linked in the description, it’s fairly cheap 🙏
And thank you! I put a lot of effort into these videos

@@ImChrisDeDecker they determined, after 700$ in diagnostics😬, that my number one cylinder is bad. It had 2000 misfires! Not sure if that was under the testing- or if the computer held that info. They suggest a new motor. It only has 104K miles on it… I have always been happy with the auto shop i go to… but man! They gave me an estimate of 8600$. Also told me that due to the “high miles” it wouldn’t be advised to just address that cylinder- that it would be labor intense and it’s likely that the other valves/cylinders would likely start failing as well. Not sure what to do from here. I am NOT a mechanic- I looked into a rebuild… but then finding someone to install… what do you think? My first thought was that I need Chris! ☺️ in my opinion, 104K miles isn’t high miles. My service light started coming on when I went up north and climbed steeper hills…
