Sitting here trying to keep everything together. 2nd verse always gets me. Lost my twin brother and we went thru the trauma growing up, we watched our parents grow up and make mistakes. Glad my baby brothers never experienced it but it's sure hard doing this without him. This song still bangs today and I love everyone of y'all taking the time to read this years later!😊

This is so moving. I have so much respect for August. He is honestly so inspiring. Make it home was the first song that I had heard of his. After learning the meaning and reason behind the song it made me tear up. It really shed a light on the importance of family and the pain that violence brings. I admire you so much.
