- It's a year in the making. I know that I've had you guys wait a long time for this, so here it is.
I got the funding to make the film by an app, so if you want more films of mine funded in the future, consider downloading the app!
Link: harbor.social/
You can learn more about the app here: • Introducing FUTO ID - ...
For Patrons, I'll upload the soundtrack to my Patreon so that you all can download it and listen to it. I think that UA-cam's compression might hurt the quality of the film, so I'll post a less-compressed version of the film to Patreon as well.
If you like the short, consider throwing me a couple bucks to get the better version of it on Patreon!

I want to thank FUTO for helping to make this happen. All I had to do was add in our identification app into some scenes but I pretty much had complete creative control and got to have so much fun making this with Charls. If you liked our little film, consider checking out FUTO ID. You can learn more about it here: ua-cam.com/video/bbHAVGukMBw/v-deo.html
And you can download it here: harbor.social/
It's totally free right now but downloads will ensure that I can get funds to make something else. I know that Charls and I were talking about possibly doing a feature.
Pls more
yo louis rossmann and chuck? yooooo
Chuck didn’t even know they were filming, freestyled the whole thing
Rapping
Nobody can match his FREAK. 😈
This is a documentary about Chuck.
Charls actually lived through the 1940s and 50s, giving him valuable insight into this role
Charls was born for roles like this
It's a beautiful day when I get to see something new from one of the three
4 with Eric Hayden tho
@@10duders yeah this man is blessed with the sauce
In the end it truly was a Kino Corner
based DreadAnon
Black and white charls is so GOATED
Now we just need black Charls
Charls a gem. We’re all lucky to see this collaboration. By God, I think we’re on the good timeline.
8pm meeting, got to work during drinking hours again
We are so back.
Yep. Noir detective kino is back on the menu.
10 years, 40 years, 200 years; how 'bout I'm doin' none of them?

Feels like prequel for that sketch.
COP KILLER
Holy fuck. So many golden lines here, the "one" line was beautiful. Yes Chuck, a single time is one time too many.
I feel like I comment this with every new upload but, holy shit
Please keep making more stuff with Charls. The world needs it
2:20 Intentional or not, You captured the David Lynch Mulholland drive aesthetic/soundtrack/sound design perfectly here, The acting adds to this a lot as well . 10/10 stuff, awesome short film man
It was intentional
We have never been more back. Empirically.
Wasn't sure where this was going at first, but I liked it a lot. It was cool seeing Charls as a tech-induced noir detective.
"How could something be this GOOD" - Charls Carroll
CHARLS HOLY SHIT
CEO pfp
whys everyone freaking out over this guy, i just heard about him. he sucks.

I miss old noirs, Chuck killed it in this. Would love more of this style!
Lynchian sounds i love it.
MDE and Kino Corner was not the collab I was expecting but I'm here for it. Great job fellas!
Charles is so fucking good at acting.
"So why don't you just kill me now and we'll call it a relationship well lived..." X'D
Y'all be thinkin dis be classic noir, when it's actually cinema veritae. They just followed this dude around with a camera documentary style. Pure kino.
The performances from all of the actors were incredible. I rarely give UA-cam videos my whole attention however while watching I was completely glued to the screen, mind captured by the story. Every shot is very beautiful, visually interesting and the story was incredible. I was wondering the entire time why anachronistic genre tropes were used I thought it was just for aesthetics but it actually had substance which was refreshing and interesting. Charls has one of the most incredible faces I have ever seen, very striking features, making every shot of him captivating. He has the face of an actor.
"I can see now they only recruit from ASU." Hahahahahahaha
Got that old TV audio down 100% soo good man. And I'm an audio man...verified at that 📱
"You want to live like a god? Come to the streets of Providence!"
Charls just fits as this seedy noir figure. this is awesome i love the use of shadows too it’s so great. thanks for this man
I'll watch anything that Charles acts in. Great little film!
Really enjoyed this. Hopefully there is more from this collab.
You can tell the love for movies in the making of this
Love how authentic this feels. Shot on film, long takes, sharp dialog, and smooth delivery. Really comes across like everyone involved actually gave a damn. Great stuff.
After watching this I believe that Charls needs to make a film with Neil Breen. Great stuff!
Holy moly, amazing work brother. High quality
This collab is legendary I’m so excited
I’ve been waiting for this since you announced it. It didn’t disappoint. Loved the twilight zone/lynchian style. Charls was great. Feature length with Charls when?
Chuck and I are working on a feature right now
@@TheKinoCorner Excellent!
Certified Kino. Cant belive you did this man!
This is a huge accomplishment, you and Charls ought to be hugely proud of this. Excellently acted and beautifully shot. Congratulations to all involved and I'm certainly looking forward to your next project.

This is beautiful stuff Kinoman
And the kino was the friends we made along the way.
Didnt think I'd see a noir 'Vanilla Sky', but here we are.
Congratulations Kino. It's awesome to watch your work after seeing you analyze film these past years. Keep going!

Let me get you a bar, at the drink
Now this a short film. VERIFIED.
This is fuckin’ awesome!! A work of art, a pleasure to enjoy! Thank you.
Charls was destined for a Philip Marlowe roll
This is great. Truly captured the noir feel. And I got lost in this piece in a way that’s very uncommon for me, idk how else to put it. Charls was astounding as always. The long haired guy should do voice acting.
Thank you for the banger performance Charls.
Charls is absolute platinum when it comes to this kind of stuff. Good job.
happy to see you making original stuff, dude
See boys now that’s a motion picture 🥸
Absolutely incredible
Not even 2 minutes in and we got refrences to hey hex. Nice
Thanks Charls ❤, Thanks TKC.
10 years, 40 years, 200 years? How 'bout I'm doin' none of them?

"The past just won't let go."
Great stuff man. Beautifully shot, and Charls is the perfect choice for a role like this.
this film made me the man i am today ❤
"Who is he?" "An annoying tech billionaire" 😂
Very well done everyone! 👏 Great performances and filmmaking here!
its so cool to see Charls acting seriously on camera.
not to mention how impressive it is with the limited takes of 16mm.
Wow Kino, I'm impressed. Please make more in the future.
It's arrived!!
Dude this cooked! The cinematography was by far my favorite! I really liked the Twilight Zone style plot. Please do more of these asap!
We need a Charls skit
really beautiful, thank you for making your art
This is borderline experimental.
IT BROKE NEW GROUND!
I CLAPPED
it's noir, it's like a twilight zone episode, i don't know how you could think this breaks ground.
@@smittywarbenyagermangensen4860 it looks like a tums festival
Thank you for this
Loved this so much
True kino
hell yeah that was pretty sweet.
Brandon Cronenberg's Antiviral meets Jacques Tourneur's Nightfall

Charls Carroll's Darkplace.
incredible work, Kino. it's immediately clear that you and Charls make a killer duo, but hell, the whole team pitched in big time for this. I'll be keeping tabs on what's to come, cause it's looking bright.
This was fire
Amazing, and Charls is a freaking legend. we are living in the best timeline 🎉
Incredible. 14:30 has Rene Magritte written all over it. Love this
Machinist vibes at the end.
Very good i like it!
Very slick project and something UA-cam could use more of! The soundtrack was great, love the progressive movement from classic noir jazz to uncanny synths as it all starts unraveling.
Love the China town vibe. This was great.
Incredible. Thank you.
One minute in and I already know this is gonna hit!
It makes me happy you finally finished it. Great job all round. I hope you do more this came out really good. Also loved Charls. I hope he shows up in more stuff.
Excellent, well done.
This is excellent man!
Great job.
