1:00 Start of one of my favorite meditation/discussions. I love Joan’s approach on spirituality. 3:02 Start of closed eyes (boundaries) 15:20 Start of more open discussion on self (natural transition❤)
Yes, if you look at it scientifically, logically, with common sense, you can see that there is nothing permanent or separate about you. You are not a separate or permanent thing, but an integral part of an unspeakably complex and vast thing. You can call it God, or whatever. But no one has been able to express the understanding of this oneness, not even the great seers and prophets. You must see it, then you can never unsee it. As the 12th century Zen poet, Tilopa, wrote: "When you look for it, you cannot find it. When you find it, you cannot get rid of it. When you do neither, it's right there."
Joan is so clear and to the point! She also encompasses in her teaching life after realization, which is very helpful and clear! She paints the whole picture and experience of life, which totally resonates with knowing within! Thank you Joan! ❤️😊
Who is even seeing the wholeness? Even with babies who only have this kind of oceanic awareness have to experience a sense of separateness hear, see, feel etc.
Very close but... The "universe" didn't back into the post you did. If you back into the post the second time you better figure it out because that could be your kid next time...
Where is this I? Who or what is looking at your phone right now? Can you find an I or a me that's looking or listening? There is knowledge of how to drive, but things happen.... Just notice, enquire, question if you can find an I within, or if you are awareness itself.... There is nothing to understand....Just be still and realize....😊
Actually if you look closer at this, you’ll find the feeling boundary between your body and the floor is an idea and simply a thought. Peel away what’s really there, not what you think is there. If your eyes are closed, beyond sensation and the feeling, what is there? How big is this sensation? Where is the boundary between your body and the floor? This starts the unwinding of ‘the self’ - then leads to similar questions like, well if there’s only sensation, then where is my body and how big is it? Do I have a body at all?…..etc
All these folks say the same thing, you have to find the one(s) you're wired for. I like this gal.
I agree. I think I like her because she doesn’t say much and she doesn’t create a model of anything.

John Nowakowski - ok....rigidity can be enjoyable...defensive aggression does preserve your status quo
Does it have a language?
Who's asking the question? Who or what is looking at your phone right now? Can you find an I or me that's looking?
Can I feel the boundary between my body and the chair? yes, or I would be sitting on the floor.

You don't really want to hear my answer to your question.
