That pedal technique demonstration at the end was brilliant. It gave me a lot to consider in how to clean up my own playing. And I appreciate you sharing the joy you felt while figuring it all out. Your videos and performances are always sources of inspiration for me. Always striving 👍🏾
It's so pleasant to watch those pigeons walking and bobbing with the rhythm, and even moving in sync with the music's phrasing. That's so nicely done. 6:23 I also love the nerdy enthusiasm with which you explained the technical details of La Valse, this intoxicatingly enthralling piece that I just can never get enough of. I have to admit that sometimes I do not hear the difference when you work on these small details on other pieces. This time, though, it makes such a crucial impact.
Ahhh...Papillons, one of my top ten favorites from Schumann. The quiet passage in No. 11 (the "Più lento" section) is one of the most beautiful passages of piano music I have ever heard. It exhibits the quintessence of Schumann's ability to extract deep beauty from the simplest musical figures.
I loved the technical talk about my favorite part of La Valse towards the end! Genius way of getting that swelling effect in the left hand that I didn't realize I've been searching for in my own interpretation.
Your debut at the QEH London last Sunday was tremendous - so exciting and such beautiful playing. Thank you for your unaffected genuine moving musicianship. Brilliant! Come again very soon Tiffany! You have lots of followers here in the UK! PS . . . The Ravel La Valse was a knockout!! - well deserved standing ovations at end of both halves.
Thank you Tiffany for sharing so much of your preparation with us, finalizing the programme and getting into the zone. Great artists perform their best in their comfort zone, and we have confidence you'll be there. Dresden was great, London will be awesome.
Safe trip on your concert tour! And hearing that you’re playing Rachmaninoff reminds me of that Geoffrey Rush movie minus the tense family segments and the protagonists dark past and the results of said memories; your memories are good for us and for you yourself.
You are playing amazing! I love your power and dynamic and its great to see also how you are playing the pedal. Thats good for me because i am playing the piano also 🥰😘
Yes, discussing your playing epiphany was very interesting, and it was fun to see you so excited about it. I really do enjoy sound design and how those little details come together. Thank you for sharing, and I hope your time in London goes well. You will have to let us know about London pigeons versus NYC pigeons...
watching the la valse section, it makes me think that you make yourself a classical pianist masterclass mentor as well! its so nice to give emphasis in those detailssss. so good to come back and reflect back in your videos due to competition and opportunity finding stress as a classical pianist too!
Just bought a ticket. Looking forward to your performance. Public pianos are a big thing at the moment, due to a recent TV program about them with Lang Lang. If you'd like to know where they are in London, let me know and I'll send you a list.
I have seen a ton of your videos and never seen you more delighted than when you worked out the pedals! Just wonderful. And special Nike piano pedal sneakers? Nope. Flip-flops!
Hi Tiffany, me and my partner will be there to watch you, not sure whether it helps but the venue is quite large, it's a pretty big venue for solo piano that is. Good luck, really looking forward to it.
Just reading the title and comments got me excited 😅. Can't wait to get home and watch the video. Looking forward! Loved the parts where you talk about your program and the technicalities of handling the piece! Good to know you are taking breaks when you need it. Thanks again for your amazing work and good luck in London!
I discovered you about two months ago, when I saw a video of you playing Chopin's Nocturne Op48 no 1, and since then I've been absolutely amazed by everything you play. Despite your virtuosity, it's obvious that musicality, clarity and tone are always the focus of your interpretations, and for that you've truly become one of my favorite pianists, and a big inspiration to me as a hobby pianist hoping to improve. Excited for your "secret" project !
Hello and thank you for your kind words! I guess your summary of my expectations are quite on point, never thought of it so concisely :) All my best to your piano journey 💪🎹🤗
I heard the Jussen brothers do La Valse last season. It was the highpoint of the concert. Great choice. Also, Papillions. Deserves more serious handling than it often gets.
Hey Tiffany, I absolutely fell in love with your touch and feeling of the music you play back then when you played the Moonlight Sonata ❤ I was wondering, after having played so many crazy hard and beautiful pieces at the level you play, do you feel like you’ve gathered enough know-how to write pieces on your own ? Or do you feel that it wouldn’t be worth it to pursue that endeavour because you intimately know the caliber of those geniuses ? I apologize if the CD you’ve released is actually of your own composition, I haven’t listened to it yet and will now look for it, but I’m genuinely interested in knowing where you stand after such a brilliant career in interpreting. (Love your video blog, btw, it’s amazing to be able to follow your development and emotional life ❤ You’re a gem ! 💎)
Listening to your comments brings a question to my mind: What does music express -- emotions or ideas -- or something else indefinable? And if the latter, what is this indefinable element that compels one to express one's inner self musically, either with the help of composers or by one's own music?
Could you please play liebestraum no 3 as an encore in London? I’m going with my mum and it’s her favourite piece it would be a lovely surprise for her. Best wishes, Josh.
Helloo Tiffany🩷🌸I started the piano two years ago and I love chopin pieces and I don't know why after two years,I can not play even one of them:(is there any piece which is simple so that I can play?
Hey Tiffany, are you at all interested in playing more modern works or do you just not like that side of classical music? By modern I mean 20th-21st century. I will say that as a lover of modern classical music, I always come back to you for the classics. I find that you breathe new life into the classics which I greatly appreciate. This has made me wonder what you’d do with more modern works, hence why I asked.
Only in my dream May 26th😒 If Kinderszenen was scenes from childhood, its 13 pieces should became mature from cocoon to butterfly?...almost without knowing, I found myself sitting at the piano, and one Papillon after another came into being. (Schumann, Letter to Ludwig Rellstab, 1831) Another artical by Rachel Frantsen... Schumann’s music, it is not absolute music. He has his secret inspirations, codes, and agendas, and I’m sure an analysis of them and how he uses them in program works like this would be very fulfilling. Her article discusses the book briefly, with the suggestion that anyone preparing to perform the piece should “attempt to recreate the ideas that created the work. As Schumann was inspired by literature, so must the performer then grasp the nature of that literature in order to fully understand the music.” She also says that “the performer must become a scholar in order to unearth Schumann’s imagined connections and gain the deeper understanding he or she needs in order to truly connect with Papillons and the heart of its composer.” Tiffany likes this crazy piece by Ravel: La Vase ☺️... Supposed to be a waltz dance of death or delight? Watching Tiffany played May 6 on FB was surely a delight but death if an old person play? 🤔 Bach’s Prelude and Fugue in C Major, BWV 846: Pure and Well-Tempered? A gentle, dreamlike celebration of harmony in its purest form? Is C minor sad? I think it depends on how the listener interprets the music written in that key. Chopin's 24 preludes is tailored for Tiffany to shine🌹 May 26th, wish I could go☺️
No matter what shall be the interpretation of Chopin's Preludes-Op-28, me as an audience would only see you on stage wearing this beautiful gift presented by Chopin to you that he would be so proud of🌹

OMG TIFFANY WAT U DOIN EDITING FANCY VIDEO INSTEAD OF CHOOSING PROGRAMME?!?! also just note you can always add encores/extras and nobody in their right mind in London would say no to you sneaking in some last-minute unprogrammed surprise bonus pieces that you feel would round out the setlist? so there's always that, as a sort of pressure valve
@@TiffanyPoonpianist Wonderful! Which one?? I just learned 23#6 and am now looking at 32#10 B minor - apparently Rachmaninoff's own favourite! I know you could play them both beautifully!
As a person who is not a classical music lover (but a big fan of talented piano players!), I can say that the order of the songs is completely irrelevant to me. I just want to hear you play. The story you create doesn't need to make sense to me at all. It needs to make sense to YOU. And any fan who has your best interest at heart would know that and support whatever decision you make for yourself.
8:50 is a magic moment for me, i come back on him often
8:56 The moment Tiffany had an epiphany :) Love the sound of that!
I'm coming to see you play in the London show for my bday weekend + 4 friends . Can't wait! 🥳
That pedal technique demonstration at the end was brilliant. It gave me a lot to consider in how to clean up my own playing.
And I appreciate you sharing the joy you felt while figuring it all out. Your videos and performances are always sources of inspiration for me.

Express your joy of playing these pieces and the London audience will be in thralled congratulations 🎉🎉🎉

You are awesome, I wish I would have been able to get a signed cd. Keep kicking butt.
Maybe after one of my future concerts? 🙏

Saw the concert today in London after subscribing for a long time. It was incredible!
I laughed so much at 0:59 when you said about your program ! I love how you always don't have a program but always end up slaying a program !!!
This music needs the pictures, and you have created them! Especially at the end, I think it deserves its own project.
Thank you Tiffany for sharing so much of your preparation with us, finalizing the programme and getting into the zone. Great artists perform their best in their comfort zone, and we have confidence you'll be there. Dresden was great, London will be awesome.
Cool congratulations.. I truly admire the dedication of your work. People don’t realize how much training and dedication there is behind a concert…
I think that if you love and enjoy playing a piece then the audience are sure to love your performance as your joy will shine through.
Safe trip on your concert tour! And hearing that you’re playing Rachmaninoff reminds me of that Geoffrey Rush movie minus the tense family segments and the protagonists dark past and the results of said memories; your memories are good for us and for you yourself.
As soon as I saw your name appear in my emails from Southbank at the end of April, I booked in. I cannot wait to finally see you performing live!

Your take on Ravel is amazing!
love your content

3:24- Tiffany goes into deep exploration - 'what if Jaws got complicated?... and then frolicked in some daisies (3:54)...' lol.

I did like the juxtaposition with the pidgeons :)
I wish i could go to your concert🥲
Is there a chance that you perform in Hong Kong in the future?🤩🤩
I heard Scarlatti's K427 on WCRB and thought of you. It makes me sad that Yuja Wang's performance is the first thing that pops up on UA-cam.

Hey Tiffany, any tips on how to avoid burnouts or what helped you?

sorry, is this my headset problem or the microphone?
I am not familiar with La Valse. It sounds rather chaotic yet exciting! I will have to listen to it in its entirety!
Do you play ragtime?
she played a little of Scot Joplin in a recent video .
A+ content becomes A++ when birds come into play.

Debussy's Pour invoquer pan dieu du vent d'ete would be great.
