I felt emotional when the final whistle went and Omari collapsed to the floor. He had used every last drop of energy without it telling. That's what I want to see from my players - total exhaustion at the end of the match 💙
Totally agree. I'm so anxious for Omari to start scoring and that has tended to colour my judgement. However when you look back at the game without the intensity of watching live, you realise just how crucial he was and, for such a youngster, how smart he was at winding down the clock as well. As you say we're so lucky to have him.
I think what gives us an advantage over our fellow stragglers, is our front players, who offer a real threat, which means opposition have to be more wary.None of Delap, Hutchison or Smodyic exactly lack confidence and it's starting to show.
During the match I wanted him to shoot to make it 3-1 & seal the points. But watching that back he (& George) clearly did the right thing by holding onto the ball & take time out of the match. Loved the praise he got on MOTD from Walcott too.
Yes, I do agree he had his best game at the weekend. Maybe it’s got something to do with the fact he has just had to sit and watch chaplin in the position realises what it entailed in that rool but I still like him on right cutting in👏
Hutchinson always seems to have time on the ball, his close control is exellent and since we first got him i loved the way he'd track back and do his defensive duty too. The kind of player i love watching especially in a Town shirt
When Omari joined last season, it took him a while to get going, but once he was going, he was almost unstoppable. He was brilliant against Spurs, his best game for us, I agree. Hard to pick a player of the day , but Sammie Szmodic in the first half was a wrecking ball. Spurs could not handle it. Thanks ☮ Rich for the video, a great win and performance from the tractors
O H was taking player's on near the end of the game to do that at spursy or spurs is outstanding. I wonder what he'd be like for them in the same situation he might not have had the same enterprise. As you say Rich we are so lucky to have him and he'll get better and don't think it'll be long before he scores
Good insightful stuff. Reckon Omari is bulking up a bit and if this continues and he adds muscle to his wonderful skills we'll have a real gem going forward.
Omari displayed wisdom far beyond his years against Spurs with his "game management" towards the end of the match. There seemed to be excellent communication between O'Shea and Muric. Omari will score sooner or later and I think when he does, Rich, you should imitate his goal celebration on the Sunday Stroll.
Crunch great content as per usual ,but have to disagree with the sunday stroll for me you can't drop Burgess just because others are fit. He's been outstanding these last few games.
Yes he may have been outstanding, but Greaves simply is a better player. Bit like when Fridge deputised for Cam last season when he was away at the asia cup. As soon as he came back, even though fridge was outstanding, he came back into the side
Omari had a great game but Cajuste was really good. Omari was £20m so even though he's a young, developing player, there's times when he was sensational last season and he's improving. The expectation of Cajuste, like Axel when he arrived, Luongo as well, is far less and so coming in a bit cold in such a game - brilliant. At first I thought this video was an episode of All Creatures Great And Small. Relief after the win on Sunday. Great stuff.
We are good enough now to win quite a few games if the refs and VAR do their jobs properly. We are still improving week on week and our players are excellent
I think that Kieran McKenna got the formation spot-on on Sunday in that playing Omari and Sammy in a joint no.10 role with the view/ option of them moving wide to their wing positions when needed. Equally playing three at the back (in effect) with Ben and Leif doubling up to play as a four in midfield and easily transforming to make a back five when the situation arose. This 'fluid' formation is perfect in my opinion with the squad we have. The interesting decision will be who plays along Sam on the 24th, will Jens keep his place or will Kalvin return⁉️⁉️⁉️ 🤔
He needs to perform more regularly, he's too hit and miss ,have a good game then a shocker . It's all about confidence with him , hopefully now he's found it .

Well said, Omari was superb maturing with every game. The whole team were excellent. 🚜👍
Loved it when he thought about hitting it and then stopped and ran into the corner. The boy is dynamite.
we are so lucky to have delap and omari in our team 2 of the best young english players in the league no doubt

Couldn't agree more
Omari was excellent rich just needs a goal to give himself a big lift.
Not used to seeing you in natural light haha!! Great video :)

Let's leave VAR for now
Cheers Crunch
I agree with you on Omari but the whole team were brilliant. Not sure what to think about Man U
Another win is possible Alan

Yes I was there and it was his best performance absolutely immense
Omari was brilliant but so were the rest of them.
I did say that in the video 📹

He hasn't had any 'shockers'
completeley disagree with this shocker comment
