Yeah Mantan Moreland and Ben Carter did "incomplete sentence" aka "indefinite talk," including in Charlie Chan movies, and before that Miller and Lyles did it. Miller long outlived Lyles, and Miller also did the bit with Scatman Crothers.

Does anyone recall the name of the guy who directed these ads? I think it was Joe something, and his work was said to revolutionize the TV ad form.
You might be thinking of Joe Sedelmaier but I'm not sure if he was responsible for this commercial.
