This brings memories of the war that happened when I was a little girl in my country. Yo avoid being killed while sleeping we used to sleep in a cave. It was safer than in the house. @@julianclegg1922 you're just one of the guys nitpicking to find a reason to say that x war is not relevant in comparison to ukraine war. i lived through a small civil war and saw people dead on the streets with parts of their bodies blown out and my uncle dying just from stray bullets from far away, had to hide in a basement and listen to the bombs shaking the ground. does it matter which war it was and what the scale of it was? no. all war is the same. it's all unnecessary. that's why people cheering on from the west and being armchair experts as if war is sport disgust me

I have indeed been fortunate not to witness war directly, but some of my friends have died in conflicts. One fighting for Iraq against Iran, another in Cambodia and so on. Others, Palestinians, went to fight in Lebanon when Israel invaded. I doubt that they all survived...

Damn. I legit thought that guy was in his late 30s at the youngest. When he said he was 24, that hit hard. I did a 13-month tour in Iraq with the US Army as an infantryman in 2006 and the first thing I noticed was that during the interviews, none of them were even flinching from the explosions or missiles were going overhead. They've all seen some serious, serious combat.
