The Reveni is ok, it eats battery like crazy and it the battery is low it takes a long time for the meter to turn on. I also got it for my M3. But seriously, it you get the Reveni get loads of batteries to go with it.
Edit: I cut a piece of card stock to sit between the Reveni and the cold shoe, that holds it in place.

I have the reveni and I love the size, but the user experience frustrated me to no end. You’re right about the battery issue. I think it’s not worth it for the price and I ended up getting the doomo meter s. I like the size and build quality so far, but I’ve yet to test it.

@@segzeeman7356 interesting, I'd like to know how the battery life looks like. The receni is fini with a fresh battery but it will drain the battery just sitting there.

I was in the market for a hot shoe light meter a few years ago and I ended up with the Voigtlander VC Meter II. I was worried about the reliability of some of the other alternatives at the time, I didn’t like the build quality of the 3D printed meters and was worried about the long term durability with the digital screens and rechargeable batteries. I’m pretty happy with my purchase.

For the Reveni, put some gaff tape on the flash mount and then slide the meter in. I did this for a viewfinder that wouldn’t fit snuggly on my Leica iii.
For me, I prefer the Voigtlander Speed Meter. Owned mine for years and it’s works exactly the way I would want a meter to work. The dials don’t move accidentally and the battery lasts for years.

Good to see you again Eduardo!
I was always very tempted by the meter from TT Artisan as I feel it would look good on my cameras.
And feliz año to you 🎉

Like you say about the sideshoe accessory for the Hedeco, that would be great for a Rollei, Hassy, or in my case Mamiya RB67, especially because then you have a waist-level finder and a waist-level light meter-crucially, with the information on the top so you can see framing and exposure at a glance. I might want to get one since I just got a Binstax back

Hi , on the Hedeco you can set in the menu to not give you a constant reading. You can set to give you a reading when you press a button on the right side and it will give you a fix reading and it will stay fixt . But the only thing that i think is not so good it the rotating wheel. I think it shud be a wheel with firm clicks so there will be beter feeling when you change settings and some times i bump in to the wheel and change settings. Maybe a button is better for that .
    Thank for this nice video.

Thank you for another great video. Reveni also has different size spacers for different hot shoes.

Iˋve tried almost all of the hot shoe light meters, including the Revini. That one is just not dependable, especially in cold weather. I ended up just carrying my Sekonic Twin Mate around in my pocket or hanging from my neck. Itˋs a lot faster, since I just take a reading before I even get the camera up to my eye. Just a lot more pleasant experience, at least in my case. Love your channel, keep up the good work.

I was in the same situation in August with my M3. I can guess the light within 1 stop by eye, but like you, sometimes my brain is tired. I got the Lime One and it's been nice to use. I turned the light reading to single press instead of constantly reading. I was going to say the same about the wheel touching the strap! Mine actually rubs across my body, that's the way I wear my camera. So the next time I go to read, the F-stop or shutter are off by a lot and I have to dial it waaaay back.

All light meters measure light -
But some light meters may have functions which aid in the quick calculation of lighting ratios, and similar such things. Hence, many light meters over the years have become more like tools with an intact light measuring device.
