I had the privilege to work with her as an EEG tech at TCH go Dr. Nath.. she’s always talked so fast and truly cool and nice individual.
Dr. Nash is an alumni in my program! So good to hear from someone who's walked the same steps I am!
What a delightful guest! I love how you tailor the end games to each doctor's specialty. Great job!
As an SLP, I can FIRMLY SAY that Dr. Nath/ team 2 won the cranial nerve draft. I was CHOKING on my morning coffee listening to you diss cranial nerve X like that!!! It’s literally 1/2 of my job 😂
Im currently one year out from finishing my nursing degree but currently work in the hospital as a PCT! I absolutely love your videos and the podcasts! I play it in the background while i study for my medical surgical/pharmacology exams!
Wonderful guest, you need to have a SANE sometime on. So many have no idea what we do, and we can be fun and funny even with the work we do.
If Dr Audrey Nath was speaking any faster than that, I'd have a hard time understanding a thing she's saying 😅
Loved the video
She sounds cool 😎
Glaucomfleckens just rocked it as usual
Ps. English is not my first language 🤣
You can adjust the video speed in settings if needed! And there are subtitles...But those are often wrong, but will give a clue to what was said maybe?
@@kyrab7914 Nah it's alright. If it was any faster, might have to opt for that 😅
@@nashathibrahim705 lol I feel you, I have to pause sometimes if I'm not paying attention. Just wanted to mention accessibility options in case you or anyone wasn't aware
I am loving these podcasts!
I was introduced to Dr. G in the hospital last Halloween when my 32yo daughter "snapped" her left tibia. (Picture available) I have loved every video and KKH episode I've seen. Keep up the good (and entertaining) work.
Not an entomologist, but I dabble in cladistics. Scorpions and spiders are both arachnids and so are in the clade Arachnida which is at the Class level.
Sweep the bigger ones onto a dust pan or piece of paper 📜 and toss her outside -ya gotta be quick though 😅. Please keep an open mind about spiders 😊. Love your short videos ❤
You are best doctor in the universe ❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
Prison insurance...parents need to start early as a part of Gerber Insurance! Lol!
Dr. Nath was a hoot. Her wit and delivery reminded me of young Catherine O'Hara (that's a compliment). Dr. G won the nerve draft, I guess, since I need to smell for work, (I also like hearing, balance, and vision).
I live in the city in Texas too, so never seen a scorpion. But as a kid, driving thru Pecos with my family, we had to change a tire, and there was a big tarantula on the side of the road too!
I’m an intraoperative neuromonitoring tech. Very cool conversation here! To clarify, yes, being the person and liaison between the surgeon, anesthesiologist and neurologist can get stressful🤪
loving the Cranial Nerve game. A&P class just finished CNS and finishing semester with ANS. it's why I watched this to see if I could help my students. Helpful when my students are stressed going into finals that when they get to their career in allied health, that you can look it up. Something to help them not feel so bad and self conscious.
Oh yes, we look stuff up every day! And- I misspoke during the cranial nerve game- CN 7 does NOT do chewing, that’s CN 5 (for masseter and muscles of mastication). So if they notice my mistake, they get a point! :)
As someone who lives in Arizona- I have been stung by scorpions a few times. Awful little buggers. Also have the joy of Wolf Spiders/Huntsman Spiders plus rattlesnakes. Our wildlife isn’t too friendly to us either lol. Hope you all have a blast down under! Keep up the awesome podcasts!
I love Dr. Nath’s energy- so positive and full of life!
I read this and immediately thought of the rural medicine possum venom meme
My brother went to Texas and he had nothing but awesome things
As an avid Dr Pepper fan, I used to be able to import it to California. I miss it so very much and I'm not even from Texas.
This non-MD knew the first two nerves drafted! To be honest, I do have epilepsy and NF1. I have a vagal nerve stimulator (put in by a neurosurgeon) and have signs of an optic glioma on MRIs.
22:05 My teacher at C-MU Herb Simon (Nobel Prize winner) calmed my career angst with: decision-makers can rarely obtain and evaluate all the information which could be relevant to the making of a decision. Instead, they work with limited and simplified knowledge, to reach acceptable, compromise choices (‘satisficing’), rather than pursue ‘maximizing’ or ‘optimizing
Hi doctor
If you can get her on, I'd love to hear you talk with Dr. Sydnee McElroy (of Sawbones podcast fame!)
Streaming past the scorpions here!
As a medical student I'm dying at all the things they're getting wrong with the cranial nerves
Ok Dr. G I take issue with your spider issues. Sorry Lady G for Arachnophobia. BUT spiders are GOOD!! PLEASE don't kill them. They eat bad insects like mosquitoes and flies. They are harmless to humans (because we are big and scary) unless you provoke them 👎😞. The little ones might crawl in your ear but that's only cause it's a nice warm, dark place and all you have to do to get her out is turn over and she will come out ( my youngest brother had one crawl in his ear and that's what he did 👍)! You can always kinda sweep the big
Dr Pepper corporate ended the Dublin Dr Pepper, original formula made with pure cane sugar, not HFCS. However, that Dublin plant makes other flavor sodas now, grape being my favorite, and my reason for thinking Dr Pepper corporate did us a favor.
Just wanted to say that I admire how you continue to be incorruptible, calling out insurance, admin, or malicious lobbies. I'm surprised that backing out of a speech would be labeled as severe opposition. Respect from Europe, must be difficult to take such a stance in the US.
Poor Kristin! She was suffering through the second story 😅
If only I knew about this perfect colab before, I would provide you with a ton of questions.
MS patient for 17 years with some eye problems and each time I see an ophthalmologist my first question is: is this optic neuritis? No, that's not what ON looks like. After year of tests, check-ups, meds and everything - You do know this is MS related? We don't know how exactly, but it's MS. 🤣
I love my neuro and ophtho teams. They're fun, but when they work - they work hard and get me back on track ASAP 💪 Respect!
Yeah for realz! I have a relative (and a friend) with MS and they had an ON episide and recovered, thankfully. But that question of "Is this MS related" is a topic all the time. To get help for anything while trying to figure out if the condition is worsening or is treatment is not received cause it's dismissed as MS is just an own type of stressor for sure!
Wishing you the very best and that you hold up fabulously for a veeeeeery long time!
I’ve seen people that came from Canada and the northern US just to buy pickup beds full of the “Dublin Dr Pepper”.
Meat tenderizer as well
Cockroaches and cranial nerves, gotta love it.
Hi, in your UA-cam skits, can you explain the Doctor with the salt please. I don't understand who he is and why he always walks around with salt?. Thanks
Ok. Im watching ...My wife had undiagnosed type 2 diabetes and she had several cranial nerve palsies ..A immobile , paralyzed eyeballs are incredibly scary
Nothing but grate thins to say .
Ok
What happened to the short video? Who has an hour to watch this. Bring back The fun folks.
@@lisak7380 I'm aware of that, but, as I said, I don't have time for a podcast. I know that many people do, and I'm happy for them.
I will stick with the shorts. They're hysterical 🤣
But that vagus nerve... so affected by Dysautonomia!
SLPs be like "Um, what about.................."
Stone cold Steve Austin , Stevie ray vaughn, the undertaker are from texas
Wow she talks fast 😅
When is "Glaucomflecken" provide his take on that most EVIL of specialtists-- plastic surgeons?
No one told me TX roaches 🪳 fly too. Could have lived my life never knowing that
Heyy thank you SO much for having me on!! It was a treat to talk about obscure remote neurology jobs, stealing jam, and remembering that cranial nerve I exists 😂
You are amazing! Your energy is so refreshing. Thank you for what you do!
You have one of the most coolest specialties in medicine.
You have the best personality! 😊
Hi Audrey, could you tell us a bit about cranial nerve 0? Is it the black sheep of the cranial nerve-family?
@@nandorliptak575 Bahaha go discover it and name it after yourself 🤣
