Danny Dyer was offered the role of Carl. He turned it down because he got fed up with playing gangsters.
Probably one of the only villains (including Dereck) who were killed off way too early.
Yeah I agree, he had a lot of potential but as usual EastEnders seem to axe the more interesting characters.

Carl was by himself in a bedroom and he heard a knock on the door. That appears to be Peter Beale. Peter told him to leave his dad (Ian Beale) alone, because it's something important. Carl asked him what he's gonna do and Peter will tell the police. Also, Carl knows that's gonna be stupid. Brave or Stupid? If Peter is stupid, he will just turn about and forget about those evidence and if Peter is brave, he'll just stick around. Also, Carl hates stupid people and he asked him what he's gonna do. Peter gave him £500 and Carl was annoyed about something, because that really is stupid. Peter explained everything to Carl about his dad and he can see in his eyes. If he force them and testify, he gonna crack this dimension and when he does, he's gonna take you down with him. Also, Carl knows that sounds more like a threat and that's means Peter is brave. To be honest, he'll keep his options to one side, later on. While Peter leaves the room, Carl put his £500 in the draw and he'll save it for later. Moments later, Carl beats him up and bumped into David. Then, he dropped his wallet on the ground, picked it up and put it in his pocket. Later on, David was walking towards the street and he saw a person on the ground. Then, David saw Peter and said "Who did this to you"? I think that's gonna be Carl White. Also, Peter was covered in blood.

I can see something like this happening with Max and Steven! Max has Steven right in his pocket now and he will want to use him further in his revenge plan against Lauren, Ian and Jane! I have seen rumours that Max will try to kill Steven or get rid of him, so wouldn't be surprised if they comes a stage where Max beats up Steven and he ends up in hospital to make Lauren believe he is close to death!Does anyone else agree that Max may get rid or beat up Steven at some point?
alexloukopoulos I think just before Steven 'dies' max will get rid of him or kill him and then make Steven right a note saying he didn't wasn't his family to see him 'suffer' so he's leaving. I think max would do that. I think this could be his revenge in Ian making him feel as though his son is dead. Of course he I'll do something else to Ian as revenge but I wanna see what he plans to do to phil because that would be an interesting feud
Steven’ dead, Abi’s dead, Lauren’s left and so has Jane. Bobby’s back though. And Max’ stupid revenge plan has gone down the drain. The character Max has really sucked ever since he was introduced.
