Which end of the Lonestar? I may take a quick ride..I LOVE classical, and it sounds great with an Ortofon 2M Black cartrdige, on Technics 1200GLD..Happy Hunting !
+olvinyldude It was somewhere in the Dallas area. I can' remember where. This footage was shot back in 2013? I just got around to uploading it on Dec. 22, 2015.
Oh, okay...Only a fw hours from the "D" .. Would have taken a ride for sure ! I love to hunt for new vinyl all time..So hard to find anymore.Happy hunting !
I can tell you.. I got excited. If you know what to look for, some of them go for quite a bit of money. Looked like they were carefully curated and taken care of.
Well....I am gonna have to admit...I like a little bit of classical but not much....still though...very impressive place for an estate sale...the ones around here are boring compared to that lol
John How do you come up with all these places to find vinyl? You amaze me more with each day.I would have bought some of that classical but I don't listen too it often enough to really know what is great as opposed to just good. Was that a Teac DAT player/recorder you looked at? they are still very nice to have and you can get tapes from Japan and Europe.Thank you again John you always hit the Mark. Steve
+phr tao Respect to you for saying why you give the video a thumbs down. The reality is this estate sale is in a metropolitan area of 7 million people and there's only one person digging through those classical LPs. That speaks for it's self. That's what the video is about. I do have another estate sale video of classical records where I show more records. Same situation ... I'm the only one there looking at the records. I just don't have a big interest in classical music. Wish I could please everybody but I can't. The most interesting thing about this sell to me (other than the $1 cartridge) is how high and mighty the estate sale people were about donating cassette recordings on cheap tapes to a university. Thanks for watching.
Wow, $2 for cartridges...can't beat that!
John, I watched your videos for years. You taught me a lot. I used to get so inspired, I'd go dig immediately afterwards!
WOW we never see estate sales like that around here. Not with that many records. Too bad they were not of our caliber!

There is some classical worth listening to plus you can trade or sell the ones worth trading or selling. Don't ,miss good opportunities!
See the vultures got all the stereo equipment.
He had a pretty sweet media room area I bet..any chance there was any audio equipment laying around? Another col video, sir! Cheers! -greg mattingly
I go to estate sales too. Sometimes you can find a bargain. The last day is usually the best day for prices.

great tour
Was that an Ortofon cartridge? What model?
So much time, so little music! Hah, I may be a bit biased
*by which I mean, that's a lot of plastic for a narrow genre of sound
6000 lps - Interesting !
They are classical - Very Interesting !!
.... Then you don't show any records - thumbs down

From the looks of it, there were probably some amazing pieces in that collection. I really wanted to see what was in there.
