You did what most of the restorers do not even think to do: You plated all the parts.
I've seen them polishing and removing old plating and painting instead of plating again.
Best regards from Rio de Janeiro.
@@Ballmacher if you don't plate the parts again, the pieces are prone to rust much quicker
As if it wasn't cool enough, it's name is Funkmeister!
Yes. Part of the reason why I had to get it 😂 much better than sparkmaster
oddly satisfying, love the lighter resto's, keep 'em coming!
@@OddTinkering i really hope ad-sense is paying you brother ... It really bothers me how they take advantage of the little guys ...i love your channel keep up the amazing resto's
Oh yeah that's some good hammering 😂 when he said ready for launch I was expecting the metal pin to go like a yard not 5 inches 😂🤣
Ah, yes, the rust remover is slowly turning into a delicious Coca-Cola
The Forbidden Coca-Cola that doesn't fizz with a Surprise D.I.Y. Lighter
I know this was a joke but did you know coca-cola can actually be used as a rust remover.
Rusty Stovelighter sounds like the name of a Chuck Norris character
Awesome video 🤩
@@OddTinkering i dont know what products you have avail.... You could look into light abrasive polishing compound for the thinnier metal stock to avoid damage may be brasso / flitz or even some car detailing products

I'm sick with some heavy nausea and your videos are the only thing I can stomach to watch. Thank you so much for helping me through this.
If that brass rod gets stuck in a wall when it launches across the room, please include it in the video. Overall good job on the restore! :)
Thank you so much for filtering out the harsher sounds from machines, I love to watch your excellent work before I retire, all relaxed . As long as you make these videos I will be an avid subscriber :)
Dang, the power that radiates from the introductory lighter YEET is staggering
Springs just amaze me. They can stay under tension for decades, if not a century, and they're still ready to spring back in shape when released.
I always watch your video before Im going to sleep cus is so relaxing
As the icon implies, he perfectly balanced the science, entertainment, and hard work.
I like these videos, he doesn't talk, he doesn't bring up things that are unrelated to what he's doing and goes straight to the point
I would have bought this "as-is" simply to say "I own a Funkmeister"!!!! Great restoration!
Love the rusty pair of pliers you used maybe they can be a restoration treat to look forward to.
Wow, I have the exact same one. It's been in the family for decades. It's in pristine original condition. I use it to light the BBQ.
As always, I love your restoration video, no music, no narration, just the original sound of you restoration activities, love it. Kudos and keep it up.
I love how you wear gloves ALL the time now, since that comment that said you should.
Someone got their undies in a knot over how Odd Tinkering Guy didn't wear his black gloves in one of his vids, is all.
😊 Most fascinating and interesting. Been binge watching you for days 📺. Glad to have stumbled across you 👍
This is such an impractical thing to restore, but dang if it isn't some of the most gripping entertainment available anywhere. Incredible!!! BRAVO!!! 👏 👏 👏
Not going to lie, I laughed when he bitch slapped the other lighter away. 🤣
I have one of these that I bought in mint condition at a garage sale. Use it every time I go camping. Best darn camp stove starter a man can have! Someone should remake and mass produce them again. As someone who use to restore antique furniture I love your restoration videos, bro! Very unique UA-cam content! Keep it up.
You earned the subscription, Sir. You have a great sense of humor, and I actually like the fact that you restore what could be historically significant that looks as good as when they were new.
We actually had one of those. Took it camping 35 years ago. Lit the little camp stove with it.
when you’re chaotic energy shows (like when you slapped the lighter off the table) i love it
Everything made from old school is beautiful and strong!
Everything you restore just looks so wonderful
That was an impressive restoration. I wouldn't have thought that tool was capable of being brought back.
I doubted you. I did think you may have bitten off more than you could chew with this one. Oh ye of little faith ! Well done. So clever. A great vid, thank you.
I hope he never runs out of brass brushes and gloves because I want to watch these videos until I kick the bucket.
Very relaxing to watch. No music no pop ups. Good Quality Video.
My parents have one just like that. I came in an old 50s era camper they bought when I was a little kid. They have been through several campers since then and the still have and use that same striker to light the stove burners. It is still in excellent shape.
Ready to launch- LOL
Tedious work indeed, I was hopeful that you could get it looking so good and working. So many little parts. Enjoyed it watching, thanks for sharing! :)
You are basically an old school pyrotechnic at this point
I prefer when the restorers take the time to use rust remover instead of sand blasting it. Also it’s much more relaxing to me ☺️😴
Very good job, Tinker! Loved it!
Something is satisfying about watching something broken being fixed. I don't know why.
My grandparents have one of these in there trailer and it is in perfect condition. It’s funny to see one so beat up.
Your video s are so amazing and the interesting feature in you videos is no music which make it more comfortable and make us feeling to sleep keep it going dude
I really appreciate you turning down the audio for the sanding! The dry scratching noise really triggers my tinnitus when folks leave it at full volume.
I love restoring old and or worn out things back to life. So glad to see people who care about things in today's modern throw away world. Why do you wear gloves?
Alison Blackwood avoid getting a tetanus shot lol. Probably to help protect his hands.
Your house must just be full of the most pristine bizarre trinkets
Nice work, Thank you I had never seen one of those before 👍 😊
Fun video 👍🏻. I have that same striker. Still functional. I keep it with my Coleman camp stove. 🇺🇸😎
I wonder if Odd Tinkering could bring your old straw hat back to life once it gets some more mileage on it? Last one was mostly duct tape by the time it was done, wasn't it? 😁
Pete Hall
LOL 😂. Yeah, there wasn't left for the tape to stick to. 👍🏻. 🇺🇸😎
Beautiful work!
Reminds me of a PEZ dispenser - lovely job!
I just found the same one at my local junkyard. Ill tryto follow this video now.
Very nice. Love your work. Cheers
This is cool, amazing work 👍👍👌
Another Awesome Video, Odd Tinkering😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Very good save. You will have Sparking good time I'm sure.. Peace
Modern lighter: * Exists *
Odd Tinkering: *YEET*
That wooden vice looks really cool
Beautiful job!
Great job came out awesome
"I need something more stylish" proceeds to violently smack the lighter and probably break it 😂😂 well if it breaks it would make an interesting video trying to fix it.
Un bel objet à restaurer. Rad work, as usual.
Excellent 👍👍👍. Thanks for sharing
Other restorers drill out rivets and pins.
You precision drill them! Win!
You earned my like within the first 5 seconds
Awww! That hammer is so small and cute ❤
Nice restoration !!
Good Job Bro! Excelent!!
Love how he just slams the rust remover on his table 😂
Hi Odd 👋👋👋 good to see you 🤝🤝🤝 very good restoration stove lighter 👍👍👍
So do you keep, use, or sell your restorations? I'm curious.
Love the way you just smacked the new lighter out of the way like that 🤣🤣🤣
Great job !
That is awesome!
very good restore
Best restore to date :D
When you throwed the plastic one hard at the beginning I thought was gonna explode 😅
Another great video. I don't know why but at the end I'm like where do you put the fluid haha, I'm not so bright at times lol
Très beau travail !!
The very first seconds I thought I clicked on a howtobasic video
I have one of those igniniters that still looks brand new if you're going to paint the handle it should be red on the top and bottom with a dull yellow stripe down the center.
Great job! I remember Mom using one of those on the gas stove in the kitchen.... Is there a 'How to' video for the wooden vice?!
I want a video of you cleaning your floor
There are 190 people who do not appreciate the hard work of others
super job
Beautiful
I watch your videos on 2x speed and the way you yeeted the normal lighter in the beginning has me dead hahaha
Very cool!!
I haven't got to the newer videos yet, but I'm hoping that you've bought a centre punch to keep you drill bits from wandering off centre.
I have one of those at my summer house. Little bit different but the same purpose
OP wants to run around in tunnels, singing Prodigy songs.
Very cool bro
You may have answered this plenty of times, where do you find the items you restore, donations? Love the channel. Keep up the GREAT WORK.
WOW very nice 🔥🤘🏻
WoW brand new.
I was not expecting the aggressiveness at the beginning 😂 it startled me and my cat 🤣
honestly its out of character for him.
LOL
Poor cat 🤣
