- Hi everyone, I am inspired by one of my UA-cam watchers his name is Gabrielle he actually gave me the idea for this painting for today. I am doing a 18 inch round That I primed with white spray paint i usually buy primer and paint in one.

Girl stop with the pine boards!!! Marias Mosaics sells perfectly cut round mdf boards on Etsy. I like her boards and she always sends the hanger wire and brackets with the boards. I like the 1/2 inch thick boards and I believe you can get them 10 to 24 inch in diameter. You will love!! ❤❤❤❤
How much are they if you dont mind me asking? The pine rounds range in price from $8-$14 @ the hardware store.

Hey so pretty! Love love love purple, cant get the pigments so easily in the UK tho 😞, as a beginner on a tight budget what would you say is the best medium to work on, wood, and which type or canvas? Thank you so much 😊

Believe it or not MDF board is six dollars for a piece of 4‘ x 2‘ over here in the US and I can have my local lumber people cut it to small pieces if I need them to and it is a free service that is the only thing I work on now and I find it’s cheaper than canvas and with canvas it sinks and sags in the middle so you waste a lot of product ❤️❤️

Two to three coats top and bottom of board I find that if I do the bottom of the board also it only needs two coats

Hi Monica. Have you ever tried sealing your wood with poly? I do at least 1 or 2 coats on all my mdf pieces and I have found it really helps alot. By the way, this piece turned out very pretty!

Very nice. What white resin mix did you use? ? I watched it twice you said it was from color cottage but not which one. It looks like pearl or glitter.

A heat gun , gloves , respirator cups I use tongue depressors to stir my resin plastic down on the table

One more question, do I need to prime the wood with a coat of anything before I put the epoxy on it?

No I get them from Home Depot or Lowe’s they’re only $6.89 apiece or you can get really really nice MDF boards made from arc angel studio they have a UA-cam channel and a website where you can buy boards thanks Carol❤️❤️
