I have had an opposite experience. Picked up a simple McDowell's No 1 Rum, probably it was 2000 or 2001. Found it to be counterfeit, went to their website, raised a complaint. The best part was, the company's state marketing manager was on my door in next 15 days. Gave me a gift hamper and informed me of the action taken on the shop. Counterfeit liquor is a reality, you need to pick the right shop, especially when we buy imported liquor.

Dada in my area one licenced alcohol shop is selling expired beer openly,I caught him red-handed, the shop owner claimed that it was mistake done by his staff but actually shop owner is cheater,companies sells expired beer cans to some shops at half price,always check bottom of beer can for expiry date ,any way Dada cheers🥃🥃

its also happening at cafe , lounges, private events , parties .....one organisers himself said he sold expired beer cans at Holi party at 4 times MRP bought at 50% of MRP .....main point is nobody check details in party mood or dim lights or expensive places

Excise dept issued every label on bottle with lot no. But this dept takes bribes hence distillery bottling done in neight shift & sale in market or his hotel or shop.

दिल्ली में लॉकडाउन जब ख़तम हुआ था, वाइन शॉप्स पर काफी डुप्लीकेट व्हिस्की और बियर सेल हुआ था, दिल्ली वाले तो महंगी शराब को भी कोल्ड्रिंक्स मिला कर पी गए, और आज कल एक्सपायरी बियर हाफ प्राइस में मिल रहा है, उसको भी जम कर खरीद कर पी रहे है, जैसे उन्हें एक्सपायरी बियर से कोई डर ही ना हो
