I don't know how to wait 2+ months for this game. If I can have the character creator and the class skill trees, I can happily play with those for a while.
I kind of don't mind the thought of Solas taking on a parental role towards Rook. Like the blood link makes us have more of a family bond with him. I don't really want a romance with him this time. But I'm also a sucker for found family lol
I don't personally think there will be any romantic interactions with Solas. I think Solas will either become a mentor and ally or your worst nightmare depending on our choices.

Just want to 2nd your strong recommendations for everyone to read Tevinter Nights. It is sooooo good ... plus getting to know several companions and npcs that will be in the game. Totally worth it! (Also, love your discussion and lore bits!)

I am feral for more on Ghilan'nain, because 'The Horror of Hormak' was my favorite story in Tevinter Nights and I am sure that a lot of the tentacles/blight veins we see everywhere are from her "cultivating influence." I want to see the blight of Minrathous turning the entire city into a factory of eldritch abominations like in the pit. She was set up to be such a creepy mad scientist in the book and I want them to lean into it in the game with their full weight.
"Dragon Age 5: Return of the Otters." 😂 I would play that game.

What if that giant skeleton is a titan and the green glowing stuff is like green Lyrium? I‘m not sure if I remember it right but in Horrors of Hormak, there was that green glowing stone, maybe that was green lyrium, too? Would be kinda funny because than we have red, green and blue lyrium (RGB) :D

I'm with you on basically everything, but definitely the Mythal/Morrigan theory, even when considering Andraste when you think of her story. When she first started her story, she was unable to have children, and then suddenly she started hearing voices, which she believed was the maker, but could actually be Mythal, when you consider the possibility of her being the vessel for Mytha, leading to her being able to have children, but only daughters just like the stories of the witch of the wilds. The first dragon you talk about is the same as the cover/poster dragon.
Wait the gods being blighted is news!?! People really have forgotten DA:O (sigh).
I'm SO glad I'm not the only one who heard Flemmeth in the start of the trailer! I KNEW it was, but everyone's been saying it was Morrigan, but it's NOT!!
I LOVE the depictions of Tevinter in this game. It's beautiful and exactly how I imagined it. I just hope we get a chance to explore it more without the horrible rails on. It's spot on for lore right back to DA:O and it's STUNNING. It's one of the FEW things I'm really stoked about in this game. I just hope we get to explore and enjoy it.
I'm also worried about the mechanisms that Belara uses.. it looks a LOT like Peebee in ME:A. Like a LOT. I really hope I'm wrong, but It's item 1532000 that I'm 'concerned' about in this game.
Eeep I love the big green skelly boy too!! I'm SURE it's a guardian, he looks like he's summoning it! It's either a test to pass into the heart of the necropolis, or it's a defender for Nevara. I'll be REALLY surprised it it's not one of those things.
Totally agree about Morrigan. Even the clothes she's wearing are like a blend of Flemeth's and Morrigan's clothes. The hair matches, the crown, the change in inflection when she speaks in this clip. Totally agree with you.
I've been wafting back and forth between that dragon being Ghilanain and one of the remaining Archdemons. I'm leaning toward it being BOTH. I'm curious to see how that character plays out :)
Uuuugh this game. I'm so, SO gutted and annoyed for SO many things in DA:V, but the LORE!!! I may be waiting until it goes on sale months after release, but I am REALLY looking forward to seeing the lore. Even with the retconning, it's still so freaking interesting!!!!!
The titans being archdemons/forgotten ones/somehow blighted by the evanuris is very interesting. This is exactly the kind of chat I want to have among friends on a wednesday evening😊.

Saw a rumour that the BIIIG dragon is Elgarnan, and because Ghilinain has the 4 arms, she's actually fused with Andruil and that's why she then splits into the red lyrium dragon (Andruil because of the red lyrium armour) and she's the blue dragon! Makes sense!

I think the blue dragon is definitely closely associated with Ghilan’nain (or however you spell it) because it has tentacles like her humanoid-ish form does, so either her dragon form or her champion.
As soon as I saw those two dragons, I thought of red and blue lyrium, so I wonder if that has something to do with them/their appearance? (Or maybe that’s my own tin foil moment!) Maybe blighted dragons that have also been super-powered with the two forms of lyrium.
The Andraste statues you were wondering about the location of - I saw an image of a map from DAV (one of the special editions, I think?) on a video the other day, with a lion for Orlais and a mabari for Ferelden. Those statues reminded me of a statue shown at the top left of that map. I can’t find an image of it now to check how similar it is, though. 🤦🏻♀️

What if Elger'nan and the other Evanuris serve Ghil? Her statue is at the center, and Elger'nan comes in to save her. What if she is the one who first used the blight for power and killed Mythal with it, and then she tempted the other gods into using it. Maybe after Andruil came back from the void, she told Ghil (her bff) about the void before the knowledge was stolen by Mythal, and Ghil researched it in secret to use against Mythal? Or Ghil was just curious why her friends went mad and journeyed to the void herself. Just thoughts

What if that scene of Ghil being impaled and Elgar appearing is a scene from a big battle in Wessiaupt(didn't spell that right)? The devs did say you will be helping factions and gathering forces like in origins and like in Inquisition, the wardens (along with other factions you help) will come and stay in the lighthouse until the final battle. It also could be cool if each leader of every faction has a specification(spellblade, champion, etc) and they become your mentor in whatever combat route you take! Or Solas will task some of his spirit friends to mentor you.
Side note: are we gonna see Abelas and/or the elves in Mythal's temple again?🤔

I personally think that the dragons we’ve seen are the Evanuris themselves, not separate entities. I likewise think that every Arch Demon that arose to cause Blights in the past were themselves Evanuris, which would explain why only Elgar’nan and Ghilan’nain are free after Solas’s ritual failed: the other five are already dead.
Or, if not dead, then their souls are trapped in the bodies of the Wardens who died to strike them down, barring Urthemiel if you did the Dark Ritual. Maybe that’s why we see the two gods fighting Grey Wardens. Perhaps they’re attacking Weisshaupt to unleash their soul trapped brethren and turn this double blight into a heptagonal blight.
All that being said, if you’re right about the Arch Demons being more like champions of the Evanuris instead of the gods themselves, and Rook becomes Solas’s ‘Arch Demon’ then the 14 year old edgelord in my soul that refuses to die would *love* to be able to turn into a demon wolf.

Wasn’t the dragons immune to Blight?🤔
They have a natural resistance but are not completely immune. Infected dragons turn into archdemons.
The dragons are what become the arch demons so they are definitely not immune
@@rayleighsmovies7152 I always thought that the archdemons are something separate from normal dragons 🤔 because they sleep deep beneath the ground, like deep under the deep roads.
@patrykkatulski9238 According to Josephine's research on dragons. She says dragons have a natural resistance to the blight, making it extremely rare to happen. However, once a dragon becomes blighted, it becomes an archdemons.
