Main Teacher Banna Chahti Hoon, A #Girliyapa presentation on the occasion of #TeachersDay, is a homage to millions of teachers who undergo a grueling regime as they educate, nurture and shape students. The sketch tries to highlight the usual hardships a teacher surmounts every day, though with a demure smile and dignified manner. It also depicts the irony that though Teachers indeed are revered in our society yet teaching as a profession has never been a coveted one. The sketch further highlights that nowadays several youngsters are overcoming usual reservations to become teacher; Not only to give back to society but also to experience the sheer joy of teaching!

Teaching is most ignored profession (unfortunately). we don't have package of salaries, we may not earn lakhs and crores "per annum" just like in other jobs. but the satisfaction we get in teaching and showing the students the path of succes is priceless.
Many UA-camrs made many series on "Types of Teachers" "parent vs teacher" etc but None of them could Express how it feels like being a Teacher and what we go through in our career..

I'm a chemical engineering who also got a good job through college placement, but at the same time I got a teaching job, & I'm happy that I chose teaching. I also faced same reaction from my parents, initally they were opposing, so I had to lie to them for 1.5 years that I'm working in a company but actually I was teaching. I loved that line said here & strongly believe in it they 'teaching is not a profession, but a responsibility'

People in Bengal don't have much scope unlike developed states like Maharashtra or Delhi..very few good schools and colleges are here so people end up being a teacher..as they also think it to be a very good govt job...If you are actually good in studies then you would definitely choose other fields but if your passion is teaching , you really want to teach then you must teach...But people join teaching to earn..this is the case

Teachers were born with the help of doctors. Teachers were able to teach because Engineers made building pens and other things and solider and police force gave them a safe environment

The primary teachers were best. They taught me with passion and helped me to deal with my anger issues. I used to take them for granted but now I miss them. In class 11th we do not have teachers, we have so called subject experts (they suck at being that too). Pradeep, SL Arora and a lot of books which are nothing more than a pile of shit are being famous because of such teachers.
I still remember how my primary teacher explained the concept of energy by actually making us slap ourselves. I still remember how they helped me in my worst situation, when I failed in maths in class 6th.
But since the first day of class 11th, I feel like my parents are just wasting fees and it could be used in a better place. This is a very common problem but due to the "let it be" mentality of the parents, a lot of children suffer from depression.
Teaching is not just a responsibilty , teaching is passion which only few can dare to do .

Very relevant video in today's professional world, especially in India. Teaching as a profession has least charm among young educated people in India, unlike in other countries, esp in Europe where many students wish to go into teaching and thus take up teaching as a subject alongside other subjects at university. It's one profession which deserves to be revered and paid well. My father was a company geo-physicist but the passion which he always had for teaching was never-ending and he now teaches at schools even after a decade of retirement.

Bisht😍....amazing video....i am an asst. professor since last 10 yrs....As rightly narrated by the charecters, teaching is a thankless job...one can not get promotion soon inspite of putting1000% efforts , no hike or increment is given, one can not marry early too coz one is not financially stable( unless its govt job) , lot many health issues, dealing with small brains, finding mistakes most of the time (so that students can improve), life becomes routine ....all this at times creates frustration in teachers'mind.......thanks for making this impressive video and revealing the world various socio- economic problems faced and contribution made by a teacher....thanks for putting efforts for thinking about this ( no) career, making and producing video...thanks to entire team
