Don't feel weird about your parents doing that. I grew up my whole life on secondhand items because I grew up poor. I had a single mum and she did the best she could for me, and worked SO hard to send me to the highest decile public schools. When I was 15 I got a pair of new pants and I was SO excited about it that I told a friend and some guys overhead and mocked me because $40(NZD) pants was not anything to be excited about... But it was exciting for me because I never got new clothing. Now I'm 30, I still hardly ever have new clothing, because growing up I realized I don't need to pay full price to have my own style! Now I make my own clothing using only secondhand fabric and only buy secondhand, because there is too much waste from fast fashion anyway

Secondhand clothes are kind of the best though. Because they've been stretched out so you may not have to worry about squeezing in and they've been washed so many times that they can be super soft. And there's just something really comforting about secondhand clothes when they come from a family member.

girl, i literally ordered something from yestyle is XXL, and when i tell u it was tight, it straight up looked like kid size that i wore when i was 10. Damn, my self esteem went down so much from it.
East Asian XL is a size S in Western international size clothing but less curvy, which means it fits the waist of size S but the bust and hips is a size XS, straighter noncurvy cut for the "typical" skinny East Asian frame. they say to add 3 sizes, not one or 2, if you are curvy with a small waist it just won't look good unless you get those super-stretchy materials.

it's great u have a lot of confidence about your body u have been such a help to me who have suffered from self esteem issues all my life because yes even thin girls get body shamed belive it or not I have been excercising for about 6 months now and it has helped me alot I actually have growned so much muscle specially on my spaguetti arms and legs and I look thinner because I have very long legs , arms , torso , neck , etc so I look thinner than what I actually am and ever since I started doing excercise to gain muscle and gaining weight with the correct food so that I can gain weight on my legs, I had a butt but now it has grown bigger which I am so happy about and my legs are much so much thicker and my stomach is still as flat as before and I am small size boob ( 34B ) I feel so beautiful my self esteem issues are gone and it's all thanks to you .

I think I saw someone else with a similar style blazer say that the strap is to keep the blazer on when you drape it over your shoulders
