Yes Jerry, you treat Linda like a Queen. It’s so great to see a mature couple that have so much love and affection for one another. Your relationship is inspiring. 🥰
@@JERRYANDLINDA absolutely and that's part of the fun of watching how it's evolved and just gotten better and better. You've embraced technology, welcomed people into your lives, and you and Linda just shine! Bravo to both of you! 😊
You two are an adorable couple. Always so good to each other. I love how she was so excited about the dress! Your turtles are going to love sharing your home!
It takes me 34 minutes to go 5 miles, yes you read that right, 5 miles in Chicago. And that’s just to get to the Kennedy expressway. Count your blessings that you’re retired and time is no longer an issue. Very good video, keep them coming.
My hubby and I are thinking about the Villages in a couple years, you two make it look so fun! I am watching your videos from oldest to newest so sorry about the new comment on a 4 year old video
My husband and I went to this market - probably 20 years ago and it doesn’t seem to have changed much - more stuff than you ever knew you needed! However, when we went there were musicians playing in a couple different areas! Thanks for the beautiful memory and your two turtles are fabulous.
Love this video. Marion Market is phenomenal to shop at. We can't wait to get down there permanently to shop for those fresh vegetables & fruits. We will also be hitting Garden Escapes. Thanks for all the information you provide.
This video was so much fun!! I loved Linda trying on the wigs!! Too cute!! My brother moved there in nov. and we visited in Dec. can’t wait to come back and potentially retire there. Your videos make me want to come even more!!
You should check out Barberville yard emporium in Barberville FL. Its in central Florida. It’s a huge outdoor store of yard decoration, pots outdoor furniture, etc. Many unique things. You two would have so much fun exploring, Love watching your videos. You both make the retirement years look awesome!
Thank you for another great video. Shopping at Market on Marion brought back memories. I was there a few times, but never walked through the whole flea market. That's where I head when I need sun glasses when I am visiting The Villages. Can't beat the prices. Love the dress you got, Linda. I am sure it will look great on you.
Had so much fun watching your video. Can’t wait to check out the market later this year when we are full time residents. Linda I love the dress you picked out and the turtles. Thanks again for doing the videos.
I don't put it on my upper lid of the eye. I have this problem with every sunscreen. Also wear a wide hat. Baseball hats are good but the sun hits the sides so I try and bring a hat wide a wider brim. You need that hat in a man's style. Your such a cute couple. Thanks for taking us along enjoyed the ride.
OMG. I'm like Linda I like the bling. I enjoyed the shopping trip. I felt like I was right there with you guys. Those two turtles that you guys purchased are gorgeous! 🐢
Love your intro logo and music coupled with your two smiling faces, its a Win. Linda sure had a good time at the market and that wig looked pretty good.
The fresh fruit vegetable section is the greatest!! We brought home beets, cabbage, carrots and made borscht or red beet soup. Yum! Try the Webster flea market, too! There is also a Greek food stand with lamb. Also yum. Warrants a day trip to tarpon springs on the full. Dive for sponges.😉
I am just loving watching you two. Jerry, you sound just like my husband when we go shopping. We were hysterical laughing 😂. I shop and he “just follows along “ and gets to hold the purse. You look like you are having a wonderful time. We are thinking about Florida for retirement also. You guys make it look so fun. Keep the videos coming!
In 1970, my grandparents retired from Indiana to just north of the Villages (before the Villages existed). My grandmother used to hit every flea market in the area.
I can't wait to search out the Garden Escapes while on our 2nd Lifestyle visit in March! We had our 1st Lifestyle visit the week after Thanksgiving and loved The Villages! Then we were blessed to stay in a friends home In the Village of Sanibel the first week of January while they were back in Ohio. My husband and I enjoy watching your videos and hope to be able to rent a home there for a month or two next year.
I just watched your Night Time in the Villages video. I LOVED IT. If I lived there I’d walk every evening I could. I can’t do that in my neighborhood, sadly. I’m going to watch this video next. I have to go to groomer with my little Jemma Joy. See you later. On your night walk you had 550 subscribers. Now you’re at nearly 16k.
Another sweet video! Didn't realize the Marion Flea Market was as large as it is. I liked the garden escape place with all the colorful twirling windmills & other yard art! Thanks for another great evening with you two. You should get Gizmo that round orange training/play crate it would go with his beautiful Weiner dog fur! What they don't have Sandhill Cranes in IN? I was born in South Bend, IN.
Love the vlog. Most sunscreen does sting, sometimes few natural a bit less, but I put it on my face often not the forehead protecting that by hat. I usually wear my cap back like you,but if kayaking flip it. My family lives by Vero.
Go Pack !!!!!! Go Linda !!!!! I am hooked on your vids. Years ago I lived in Vero Beach and came back to Wisconsin because of family. I'm living my Florida dream vicariously through you two lovebirds. I do have a timeshare in Ormond Beach on the ocean so I am able to visit once in awhile. The Villages certainly seem like a very sweet lifestyle for us early 60 somethings. Keep shopping Linda !!!
Linda would look so cute in that red cart. The southerners love their pork rinds and chicken intestines. Gross! They're sure jiggling at the Market. That's from eating pork rinds! :-)
Hi Jerry & Linda. Thanks for another great video. We've heard a lot about the Market of Marion, but haven't been there yet. I was glad to see they have tropical plants, as they are my weakness. Already have too many, but I can always find room for one more, it seems. That big green leafy plant that you said would look good on your front porch was a Spathiphyllum (common name, Peace Lily). There are hundreds of different species but that one looked like a 'Sensation'. If your front porch gets any direct sun it wouldn't be a good choice since the leaves will burn in the direct hot sun. They make great indoor plants though, since they don't require a lot of light. Keep the vids coming, you guys are great!
I live in Maryland. I have no idea why your videos were recommended to me but I can't stop watching you two! You mentioned that lawn art had to be approved by the HOA. I guess you'd have to take a picture of something before buying and submit? Crazy. If you guys have a private backyard, I don't see why you can't have as many as you want back there. I could spend a couple of hours at that garden place. I saw so many things I'd want to buy. Loved the huge gecko on the wall with all the colors.
Well I just love you guys !! I went back and liked all the past blogs I visited hope that helps you out . Linda you are the sweetest lady ever and your ok yourself Jerry lol... I just want to be yalls neighbor lol !!!
Hi, Jerry & Linda! My hubby & I are ADDICTED to your friendly, fun videos. You asked for sunscreen suggestions. We live in southern Colorado @ 7000', where the sun is INTENSE! My hubby's a ginger, like you & he's had all 3 different kinds of non-melanoma skin cancers removed from his face, neck, hand, arm, & calf (too many sunburns in southern CA growing up!), so he ALWAYS is totally covered up with UPF 50+ clothing (BEALL'S Florida has a GREAT, reasonably-priced selection of UPF 30 (good), 40 (better), & 50 (best!) clothing & & gloves!!), a BIG brimmed Costco hat from several yrs ago with brim just shy of 5" that goes ALL the way around (the last several yrs, the brims have gotten MUCH shorter!), Costco traveler's pants & shorts that are UPF 50, Amazon's Tesla UPF 50 tights (he calls them pantyhose!) for playing pickleball), & we just discovered SPF 50 (UPF is for clothing; SPF is for sunscreen) BARE Republic mineral sunscreen stick. It's a physical barrier with 20% zinc oxide. It looks like a mini stick deodorant. It's available online, but we got it at Walmart. We were on a sailboat for 2 weeks in Belize, so we added stretchy neck gators to our sun defense wardrobe. He got a highly rated KASTKING nice & long gator from Amazon, & I got a LOCO SKAILZ (Beall's Florida brand) UPF 50+ neck gator that covers your head, has an opening for your eyes or as much of your face as you'd like uncovered, & your neck jn bright colors. I almost LIVED in my crazy-colorful Aquaeous SLIP-INS full body dive skin, that I bought on sale at SWIMOUTLET.COM. We needed to have reef-safe sunscreen & the highly rated, supposed reef-safe sunscreen we'd bought off Amazon several yrs ago for a dive trip to Cozumel didn't work! We got BURNT wearing it! The Bare Republic has a nice scent & goes on smooth. It's white, but you can rub it in somewhat. I believe a physical barrier is better for you than a chemical one. Some folks that have had melanoma use both. My skin is irritated by chemical sunscreens, also. I didn't have ANY issues with BARE Republic's zinc oxide stick! (they also have it in spray on) We were snorkeling & kayaking & sailing for HOURS everyday & didn't even get a hint of sun on us ! The BEALL'S Florida exclusive brands that I like the best are Reel Legends (in particular their Keep It Cool line, bc they're stretchy & VERY comfy!), LOCO SKAILZ, & GILLZ. They have AWESOME sales & if you order online, you can use coupons from OFFERS.COM to get even MORE discounts! I keep expecting to see a video of you exploring BEALL'S Florida!!! My hubby likes the long-sleeved (Reel Legends' Reel Tec line) shirts with a hood that he wore up when out in the sun, even snorkeling & diving. They also make long sleeve shirts with a built-in neck gator in colorful designs. I could send you TONS of pix, but this blurb is long enough already! I will if you ask! I was SO DISAPPOINTED Linda didn't get to SEE manatees! We had hoped to see them in Lagoon Cay(e) in Belize, but it wasn't the season for them! Keep taking us along on your adventures! God bless! ps Are you a ND grad? My dad ('61) & brother ('93) are, & my mom went to St Mary's before ND was co-ed!! Go, IRISH!!
Hi Mary! You come from a line of smart people! Not me though, we went to Ball State! What a post you made. Thank you. Many stores and even what you might think are public places grown on being videoed. Wish we could do shows in more places.
@@JERRYANDLINDA My Aunt & Uncle, who live in Naples, FL, went to IU & one of my cousins went to Ball State! THE VILLAGES FLORIDA NEWCOMERS This part will be hard, but don’t let sweat drip into your eyes, because there will be sunscreen in it, and of course, that will burn, too. A sweatband on your forehead will help to prevent that. Picture what tennis players wear. Or, a bandana rolled up and tied around your forehead will do the same trick. That’s what I do when I’m doing yard work and it’s really hot out. Your hat could camouflage it, if you don’t think you’d like the look. While we’re on the subject, most sunscreens stain my clothes because they have Avobenzene in them. I use Banana Boat Simply Protect Kids because it has no Avobenzene. It’s white, though and you have to really rub it in. I use it on my neck and arms so I don’t get stains on my clothes, but I don’t usually use it on my face because of the “whiteness.” Maybe the water is different here and that’s why the stains happen, but for me this has been a life changer because the stains are almost impossible to get rid of and I can’t afford to wear a blouse once and then throw it away. And, I use the sunscreen every day, even in the winter. That way I don’t end up with that “farmer tan” on my arms when I’m wearing short sleeves.
I’lll bet the brand of sunscreen I mentioned doesn’t burn your eyes since it’s for babies. It might be worth it to use on your face even though it will take time to rub it in so the whiteness doesn’t show.
I thought I was caught up... but no, not yet. This was a great video. Jerry your bride is one lucky women. 🌼✨

I think we might just look into a visit, with staying ,to experience what you’ve been talking about.
Hi I have to ask you guys. I heard that the villages are for swingers type of people.
It's TRUE. Most of the residents play golf.
Did this market stay open throughout the past years?
There was a fire this past year that shut it down for a while, and it closed for a while during covid.
Your intro is very nice; one thing is that it has the word “the” twice. Jerry and Linda in the The Villages.
OOPS!!!! Can't believe that we didn't notice. Thanks!
Are you saying you're not supposed to have any decor in your front *or* back yard? Seems restrictive. I know people can go overboard but something tasteful would be nice. And after all it *is* your yard ...
Back yard is OK... but, front yard is controlled by your neighbors. Tasteful, usually no problem... what if lawn jockeys, pink flamingos, etc?
"...controlled by your neighbors." Well, I guess I know where I *won't * be living ... And what's wrong with pink flamingos?! :-)
I meant that enforcement is complaint driven... no complaints, no problem.
I just knew you would get a pink flamingo
Not one, 150!
