for smaller setups, I think the new Vivemars is much more versatile easier to set up and most importantly portable as well. oh and less expensive. It's great tutorial though!
Are these stars sold separately somewhere or are they just stickers?
We can't get the auto-aligner error down to less than 0.6, and we tried for nearly a 100 times 😢 ( believe me)
Is there anything we're missing?
We're trying to do set extension, and for that matter, 0.6 is too much of an error and we're stuck for a month on this step 😢🥺

Hey! Good question. The StarTracker DOES come with star stickers when you order from Mo-Sys. They have different sizes though depending on how big your shooting space is. Shoot us an email at hi@copilotco.io if you have any other questions :)

What about Genlock? Can you Genlock the trackers?
Yes you can! We've been wanting to make an in depth genlock tutorial for a while now, but are still trying to find the best way to present all the info!

I really wanted to buy the Mo-Sys system but the $35,000 pricing on it really takes it away from smaller companies wanting to do VR.
That's fair! Hopefully when the Mini comes out it will be a better fit. Let us know if you ever want camera tracking options or ideas!
@@copilotco I asked them at NAB if the pricing would be lower and they said...no. Right now I am strongly headed towards the Vive Mars set-up. Their new lens encoding motors looked interesting. Very interesting in watching your journey as I am just building my green screen now...check a few shorts I have just put up.

Oh no! This is the worst and trust me, we’ve been there. Have you tried moving your camera around almost at 180 degrees? How far apart are you points?
