It always breaks me how in the music video Jin is separated from everyone and they have a sense like they have forgotten someone important but not quite knowing who... this song makes me cry every time

Film out is a Japanese OST for a film called “Signal” which is really good, I 100% recommend! Jungkook contributed a lot to this song (he also did so with another Japanese song called ‘Your Eyes Tell’) but the overall message is when you can feel the empty prescinde of where some should be. In your head, their memory is so vivid but when you turn around to see them, they are not there. It’s a message of longing and a bittersweet grief.
This song is vocal heaven. Their Japanese songs always are but this song is another level, especially when they sing it live. You can tell that their mics are on! The rap line stripped back in intensity and took in soft vocals while the vocal line lead this song and went off. My favorite part of the song? After Suga and Hobi’s back-to-back and Jk’s line when the music go silent for a second… and then it picks up dramatically and V’s powerful vocals just come in like a wave. Truly beautiful!
This was released last year on April 1st 2021. I remember my sister came home and when we told her the mv released, she thought it was a prank lol. I remember watching it and almost crying because of how beautiful of a song it is. I started to learn Japanese too, because after listening to this song, I realized how beautiful the language is.
Also the mv is supposed to reference “Signal” a lot, but it also has many references to the BU. While it is not officially marked under BU content, there are too many signs to ignore so Army considers it as BU content. The mv is so impactful and the visuals are stunning.

This is such an underrated masterpiece. They all do extremely well together, but JK’s backing vocals and Ab Libs are the glue to pretty much every single one of their songs, he is such a phenomenal vocalist. Your such a huge teddy bear!
The mv is beautiful but the live gets me every time. That feeling Luke never goes away,it doesn’t matter how many times you listen to BTS. Got tears here as well but I always do listening to Film Out, the same happens with Blue and Grey and Mikrokosmos 💜💜

I think that you get so caught up in the MV for Film Out, that the emotional impact is muted. But when it's live, you are left with just them, their incredibly beautiful, and powerful vocals, and the sweeping emotions. They will get you every time.
Blue and Grey is a warm and tender embrace, and the shoulder you will crying on.
Mikrokosmos is just so beautiful.
Another song I ALWAYS cry to is Yoongi's Shadow. That song just rips my heart out every time. It's so raw, emotional, powerful, beautiful, honest and beautiful 💜
I also agree 100% but I’ll never forget the time Butterfly 🦋 came out and I cried for days. I still tear up when I hear it. That’s when I really knew these (boys) then where something special. Luke every time you hear a song that you’ve already reacted to that same feeling will hit you again. It never leaves you.
I think the live really highlights their voices and you can see who is signing with who better, just adds a whole new level to it 💯💜
@@GOTGames the thing that kills me is that they sound just the same live or not and I wish to heck they would stop over processing thier vocals in so many MV.'s. They seemed to have stopped it with YET to come and Proof new and remixed songs. Although, when J hope raps he like a bit of reverb or metallic resonance .
This song is just so gorgeous. I hear a new vocal every time I listen, and the background vocals are simply astounding!!! Add to that the lyrics and the mv, and I'm crying each time! I believe JK is credited as a songwriter for this song.

I adore "Film Out." Like all of the songs JK has written, it has a soaring melody and such delicate harmonies... he really is a talented song writer. I know there were others who helped flesh it out, so props to them as well. Don't worry about getting emotional - it happens to all of us.
BTS live are something else. I’m so grateful for this today, I hadn’t seen Film Out Live so really enjoyed that, thank you Luke. I’ve just booked my cinema ticket to watch Yet to Come Busan Live. So excited. Going on my own as I don’t know any BTS fans ,but when I get there I won’t be alone!!!
I went to 2 concerts solo and honestly it was like I was surrounded by family. You'll be fine and I'm jealous as hell since the closest showing for me is still over 60 miles away.
I also went to a bts concert by myself and was kinda worried, but I had the best time! Found so many peoples to hang out with and have fun with. As BTS says You are never alone :)

Mannnn, I'm so glad you finally saw this. I been suggesting their (live) Japanese singles for a little while. Idk why but there's just a little something extra magical about the vocals and melodies in them. Especially that killer Jimin/Jin belting magic. They all shine so well in them. You did know this was in Japanese, right? Also, Jung Kook wrote this - from Wiki "BTS member Jungkook in collaboration with the lead vocalist of Japanese rock power trio Back Number, Iyori Shimizu, and the track's producer UTA." It was for a movie. Released in early 2021 - so during the Pandemic.
JK did this one and Your Eyes Tell and both of them are stunning. 😁

Film Out is an OST of the Japanese movie Signal. This song is sooooo good. The live performances is 💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥 legit. The vocals harmonization is amazingly incredible!!!💯💯💯💯 and the way JK harmonizes with the rap lines makes it extra outstanding. 💯💯💯💯 This is one of my favorite original Japanese songs of them.

Their voices are simply phenomenal...they can bring me to ears just from the sheer beauty of their harmony's. I don't think I will EVER tire of listening to them! I am still relatively early in their catalogue, honestly, so I am so glad there is much "yet to come"-and then their solo work comes along and will (and is) slay us further! Listen to it a few more times. I’m a 5 year BTS fan. Film Out only really hits after listening again. Especially when Jin begins and Jimin sings the bridge outro. Not to be weird but this is the song. This is the one I want for my funeral.

So well done yes. 💜The track was co-written by Jungkook, Iyori Shimizu (who is part of the rock band Back Number), and producer. “Film Out” also featureed in the Japanese remake of the Korean film SIGNAL, SIGNAL The Movie Cold Case Investigation Unit.
It's really interesting that you said it sounds like JK's song (or that he features so well on here). JK actually wrote Film Out with a Japanese artist called Iyori Shimizu (who is a vocalist of a Japanese rock group called Back Number). You can feel JK's passion and soul in this one for sure because of that I think...

Trust me Luke, there are some songs that will always get to you. And I mean ALWAYS. For me Film Out is one of them, and Blue And Grey is definitely another. But Interlude: Shadow, by Yoongi... That will always have the tears flowing, and often have me sobbing.😭

I know…I know…this is such a beautiful song. Their harmonies are truly amazing. I could tell your eyes were welling up, and I thought “Oh man, he’s not gonna make it!”… I would love to go to a BTS concert with you (front row seats of course in this scenario! 😁), and we could just dance and sing and chant and scream and yell and cry at the beauty that is a BTS concert. I’ve been to one (in LA Dec 2021), and it was truly magical. The boys look awesome in person. They came thru the audience at one point (on wheeled carts), and Jimin was in the front. He looks flawless in person ~ perfect skin & hair, just gorgeous *sigh*… Seeing Jin in this video makes me miss him too. (Cue the Kleenex box! 🤧). “It feels like JKs song”. Yes that is because it is. It was supposed to be on his mixtape but then it was used for a Japanese movie. Jungkook is credited as one of the composers.
