The first slaves to Jamaica did not come from Africa, they came from Europe, mainly Spain and Portugal. They were the so called black Jews who had migrated to Southern Europe following the Babylonian conquest and destruction of the first heykal (temple) 589 BCE.
They were very prosperous, contributing much to their countries of residences. But along came Christian politics in the 15th Century CE. They refused to convert to Christianity and all hell broke loose against them.
They were the main victims of the Spanish Inquisition. They were banished. 1492 from Spain and 1494 from Portugal. Those who could not leave within the time specified, had their children taken from them to be raised as Christian slaves while the parents were enslaved and taken to the Caribbean and South American Colonies.
The children raised as Christian slaves were shipped to West Africa, from where some and their progeny were taken to the colonies and enslaved.
This and more have been deliberately left out of the slave history narrative!

African leaders, listen to your people around the world, It's the right time to make Dr.Kwame Nkrumah's dream become a reality. The time to unite is now. Let us all try hard to work together for the good of our people so that they can shy away from trying to get to Europe through the Mediterranean Sea looking for a green pasture that is not guaranteed.

For a simple example look at when they throw partner in Jamaica. Look how many people can run a little shop from that. Why not take it one step further and pool the money when you get it and not just open a little mom and pops for yourself but start a farm with your buddies and sell on a larger scale. Black man needs to start doing

If it wasn't for the Rastafarians a majority of Jamaicans would look down on Africa. For example look how the Jamaicans treated the Africans in the uk during the 90's and early 2000's. I've traveled all around in the Caribbeans as a part of the Navy and from experience Haitians as a majority has no problem telling the world there africans by blood.

Bob said it "They dont want to see us unite " and the reason is because united we stand and are strong, division/divided will always mean you are fragmented, separate, weak or weaker than you can be as a people. That said, education is the key, we have to know who we are, the mass of contribution we have brought to the world and civilization. As individuals we also have to learn to love and respect our brothers more, less of the hustle, tek it, killing, jealous mentality, show more love and humility towards each other and less ego. As men we have to embrace our children and women with love, dedication and commitment. We still have a long way to go but it starts with us individually, the renewing of the mind 🙏💪

Africans that were drawn into slavery, couldn't go back to their fatherland and had to dwell and settle down around the Caribbean sea, continue their lives there, married within themselves and formed a new country among themselves. But they never forgot to tell their kids where they came from and passed the history to their future generations so their origin won't be lost forever😢

Bless up. Please Africa trade with each other. No need to make everything over expensive in Africa like the west. If we can focus on Africa the continent as black people I believe everything we need is there. Somewhere in Africa a system is working amazing for the people we should learn from each other.

They are West Africans. Their connection to Ethiopia is just about Rasta.
