- Herbert Spencer Theories were influential in establishing Functionalism which was modeled on the Organic Analogy of an organism. In Functionalism, it is believed that each section of Society has a function that meets the requirement of Society at large. Here Organic Analogy is taken of an Animal, where each body parts has a function that meets the requirement of Body at large. The conception of Functionalism in Herbert Spencer is very rudimentary which was further developed by Durkheim and Talcott Parsons as Structural Functionalism.
