I can imagine Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and Black Sabbath in the kitchen figuring out what too cook for the new decade (70's). Led Zeppelin throws in some Blues, Deep Purple throws in some Classical Music and Black Sabbath throws in some Jazz.....and there you have the recipe for Heavy Metal.

💥 I've always loved Ozzy's amazingly crystal clear vocals! The ONLY one I can think of who sounds ALOT like Ozzy is Roy Wood. He and Ozzy are both from Birmingham & are friends & have both supported eachother at times. Roy (qqv The Move, ELO and Wizzard) should have gotten WAY more famous with that voice. I think he was just way too much in his own zone. But his vocals have always been great! And he had/has a *very* similar tone. Check out "Blackberry Way" by The Move and smile! Many other lost lost gems there. Maybe they're both related?

in Denmark & Sweden BEFORE they EVER crossed the Atlantic. The New Yardbirds played
Denmark & Sweden in September 1968. Jimmy Page had to fulfill an old Yardbirds tour contract.
In February 1969, Earth did a small tour of Scandinavia. Three gigs in Denmark & four gigs in Sweden.🌎

@@elinino5275 in their bio on wikipedia, they did have a trumpet player when they were earth. It said that they disbanded and reformed as black Sabbath but didn't tell the trumpet player. Actually, I think there was another guy in the band as well, a sixth guy, when they were earth.

@paul jenkins The Polka Tulk Blues Band featured Jimmy Phillips on the slide guitar and Alan Clark on trumpet. They were let go and Tony, Geezer, Bill and Ozzy fromed Earth later in August 69 changed the name to Black Sabbath .The song Thomas James is by the Polish band S.B.B. not Earth or Sabbath.

En 1969 ya se llamaban Black Sabbath. Dejaron de llamarse Earth en 1968. Esta demo es de 1969, por tanto, ya bajo el nombre de Black Sabbath.

Anyone else concerned that the Polish band SSB sounded too much like Sabbath. Feared that the stories of the Mars suite were just a cover for excessive "borrowing." Rest easy now, SBB debuted in 1971 so Black Sabbath had that lick at least months before SBB.
