Robben Ford tells a story for us with his lyrics and tells a story for us with his guitar playing. And he’s telling us how to do it. Thanks Truefire and thanks Robben.
Absolutely love this lesson. My favorite song on purple house, and somewhat of a departure from Robben’s back catalogue. I appreciate his generosity discussing the song craft, orchestration, and a little production. Much more than just discussing rhythm/lead parts. Well done TrueFire.
Thanks Robben-I've been a big fan of yours since Tom Scott in the 70's(Rock Island Rocket solo caught my ear big-time)-missed the Miles period sadly-living in the sticks, we miss a lot of things. Just catching up now thanks to UA-cam. This is a beautiful bit of work-great tune-thanks for the lesson and analysis- you always were a very thoughtful ,soulful and creative blues player...I saw your 3-piece in Saskatoon Sask Canada around 25(??) years ago- great show- I don't like the 3 piece sound much, I miss the harmony, but you guys really filled it out nicely..awesome show-God bless brother. Thanks again... Gerard

The man is going his own way. Sign of modern times.
I wish he play solo acoustic more. Fantastic!
So grateful for this…Thanks Robben.
What a great explanation - it’s not often we get the chance to have things explained so well. Much appreciated.
