    Thanks for this. I spent 7 nights in Bethlehem in 2018 and fell in love with Palestine. I also loved Israel. The conflict runs so deep, and it's a shame that it can't be resolved because the people on both sides are beautiful and so is the food, the wine, the land . . . everything.

    good for you guys to go into the west bank and experience the palestinian struggle there, in a deep rooted conflict like this there no villians and heros but undoubtedly the palestinians receive the disproportional amount of the struggle

    • @nicoleandmico

      Yes, in our short time there we definitely saw the disproportionate amount of struggle the Palestinians are currently facing. It was an experience we will continue learning from and carry with us always.

    • @nicoleandmico
      @nicoleandmico  2 роки тому

      Hi Laurie! We do not wear mics for our videos, and actually all the videos before our time in Argentina were just using the built-in mic on the camera we had at the time (which was the ZV-1). We upgraded our camera to the ZV-E10 recently and also ended up getting a directional shot-gun mic which we have been using since arriving in South America and it is phenomenal!

    As someone who knows people on both sides, I just wanted to point out that people are struggling on both sides in this conflict. The news just only shows the Palestine side of struggle and only making Israel the bad guy while both sides are doing harm. The media just has everyone take Palestine's side without considering both suffer. I have sympathy for people on both sides. It is sad how long this conflict has gone on and that it is one at all.
    Many of the pictures seen of children that were killed , were actually killed because of Assad. What could be more exploitative of dead children than attributing the pictures of innocents killed by your own supporters to your enemy simply because you weren't paying enough attention when your own were killing your own?

    • @nicoleandmico
      @nicoleandmico  2 роки тому +8

      Hey Zourou thanks for your comment. We think the conflict is very complex and personally believe it will only get worse before it gets better. Out of curiosity where are you from? Our news (especially in the west) paints a different picture of the conflict (the media takes Israel's side). After seeing it for ourselves and being in Palestine, we think there's a large inequality that puts the Palestinians at a disadvantage and it's very sad.

    • @ddelfao
      @ddelfao 2 роки тому

      @@nicoleandmico Good job asking them where they are from, but don't expect an answer because 99.9% of odds are that they are undercover for the Isr*eli government, more precisely called "Hasbara". The Isr*elis recruit thousands of university students and pay them to distort any truth on social media. Their accounts usually have generic profile pictures, they are created in 2021, and they have no posts (e.g. on instagram). They are usually easy to spot :) Last year during the ethnic cleansing of the people from the village of Sheikh Jarrah, they were everywhere on instagram, Facebook, UA-cam. When people created videos on TIktok of solidarity with the people of Palestine, they took the footages and skewed it (inverting flags) to make it seem like the majority of the mass media was with them. People were so outraged by what they did that Netanyahu spoke out saying "My worst enemy during these events was the internet". We all had live footage of what was happening on occupied land - everyone saw it. If you haven't heard of Muna el Kurd, you can find all the footage she filmed during the occupation of Sheikh Jarrah, where they threw everyone out of their homes in the dead of the night. Her brother is just as amazing - you can find him on UA-cam being interviewed by CNN. Anyway, thank you for your videos! Looking forward for more :)

    Hey.
    I just wanted to point out, as an American who grew up in Israel, That Israel does not want the wall there. It's there only to keep the peace and security of both sides. I can't even imagine how many Israelis would die if this wall was not built. Radical people are still able to go around the wall and the security barriers and commit huge terrorist attacks on innocent people, just like you guys, in Tel-Aviv, Jerusalem and even Bnei-Brack(two months ago, over 30 Israelis were murdered by palestinian attackers in various attacks that took place at different cities, it was horrible and people are afraid to leave their houses to this day). Please, read more about the conflict and don't let Israel be seen like the only one who's bad in this conflict. We all want peace, Hopefully we will see it someday.
    Peace,
    שלום.

      Hey there thanks for your thoughts. We think it's so sad what's happening there to the Israelis AND Palestinians. Please do your best not to label a whole culture/race of people as terrorists or radicals because of a few people who acted on their own agenda. We can also see there are more ways to fight a war than just with weapons and see a way of life being suffocated.
