I discovered Big Country in 1984. Was love. Never managed to watch them live, they still live within my heart and you are the golden legacy of Stuart Adamson. The legend lives on. :)
Stuart was a tremendous singer, songwriter and musician. Big Country was for me the greatest band of their time. I still listen to their music regularly. Stuart truly was, and still is, the pride of Fife.
Just lovely Kirsten ....boy your father would be sooooo proud . Would love to hear you do Girl with Grey Eyes . Every time I listen to you I hear your father, not sonically, just through the emotion you put into the song. Thank you for keeping these songs alive and reinventing them your way .
This is great cover Kirsten. I remember buying this 12 inch in Woolies in Cumbuslang when I was at College as an apprentice Brickie. Magic. Those were the days. Thanks
I remember reading in the Country Club fanzine that the band considered this to be one of their most difficult songs to play live. Beautiful interpretation.
I wish I was as poetic as your dad (but non of us mere mortals are) then I could capture how beautiful your interpretations are. These songs mean so much to so many. All I can say is a simple but heartfelt thank you.
Love listening to you singing your dads songs. Saw him many times, one of the gigs in Exeter, the lights failed so the band continued playing with the road crew shining torches across the stage!
Loving it 😍..Steeltowns a Classic Album 👌. East of Eden is a classic song .you brought it back to life .fresh and up there with your other BC covers ty
yes you are your own individual, separate from Stuart - but when you sing? do you hear what we hear? how stirring and emotional your voice is? wow. you are musically gifted, to say the least. please never stop making music. p.s. just finshed listening to your track Like This! you're the best aint you?

Your father would have been proud of you, Kirsty. RIP Stuart
This is an exceptional rendition, and I thnk it shows that East of Eden is better as a folk tune than hard rock.
That was 5 minutes of my full attention captivated.
way too cool!
This is a wanderful tribute to your dad
Wow! Fabulous, may I suggest better than the original.
Why care about the weather
It always ends in dark
