I’m 50 years old so I grow up watching G.I. Joe and I still watch the old episodes till this day . And I remember “ Storm Shadow and Spirit the Indian guy fighting …. they were actual rivals on different occasions and the two must of had some history of a sort …… because Spirit said to Storm Shadow after breaking his sword in one of the episodes in a battle telling Storm Shadow “ your horror was broken the day you betrayed us “ So that lets you know that there was some type of history between the two ….. that Hasbro failed to explain the backstory on that , and suddenly when did Sake Eyes become storm shadow’s rival ? Just saying or did I miss something 😄💥💥🤙🏼

I’m 48, so right there behind ya! I read the comics and watched the cartoon… Two COMPLETELY different stories btw, Snake eyes and storm shadow we’re sword brothers… Storm Shadow had infiltrated cobra to learn who had killed his uncle/ninja master… Snake eyes thought Storm had done it, and joined cobra because he was just inherently bad. When they discovered who had killed storm shadows uncle, storm defected to the Joes.
The cartoon made spirit his rival because of native “honor” and the fact that spirit could talk which led to great dialogue between the two characters.
