Regardless of how outdated they may be, I get excited whenever I see a refreshed Nissan Armada or Infiniti QX80. They both have a unique presence to them. But of course, they are both in need of a redesign, especially the QX80, considering Infiniti is in a rough spot currently where really the only new model is the redesigned QX60.
Hello from UK. - did not know they were still making them. Lived/worked UAE for a few years and the patrol version was always popular. - my wife loved it I hated the jelly mould exterior and interestingly when it came to sand bashing the locals and military/police would always opt for the earlier version which blew this and the landcruiser away. - do a search for Liwa sand drags.
I have a 06 Armada .. if I buy another SUV for intended long life it will be a newish Armada / QX80 .. the simple tech that just works and price point makes it a gem .. the twin turbo v6 QX80 coming out soon will need to prove it's self first .. many of the features people speak of as updated I don't care about .. talk to me in 15+ yrs from now .. I will drive 06 until the wheels fall off .. same is true for my GTR 2015 .. when energy investments mature I'm going iconic SUV .. a AMG G63
I agree, it's a tired, old design, but it still looks the part at least, like certain Lexus models. I believe a new one is coming for 2024. Though it won't be all new, we know that.
i drove the armada and i am 6 feet tall and the seat was to close to far up but the seat would not go back further to straighten out my legs did you have the same problem being 6 feet 1 inch? also that is beautiful contry side where is that?
I think you're way, way, to critical. This a nice truck. That is very affordable. Especially compared to GMC products. The tech is reasonable and reliable as well, on the QX80. I think you're calling the QX80 strict. It was a bad call and subjective, too. I think the lines are just fine. And the rear end is not dated you were just reaching there. The rear wippers could be hidden, I agree there. YOU overdo everything. People I suggest you test drive this vehicle yourselves and see if you agree with his account.
Agreed - I think all the reviewers watched other reviewers and didn't come up with anything original. I have a QX80 and never noticed the arm rest, but I heard two reviewers mention it. Everyone mentions how thirsty it is, yea so is every other large body SUVs, even the turbo charged V6's. I had a V6 Acura MDX that had terrible gas mileage, won't be that much worse than this.
In the US I would select the new third gen Sequoia…even the old second generation if I could find a low mileage unit. This Infinity is really a people mover/minivan on a box frame with elevated seating position. Not sure at this point what competes with this anymore. And honestly this is not an off roader in my mind….much better options in that category too.
Agreed, just got my 2024 for various reasons but #1 was the deep discount and #2 was the APR rate. Why not? You think I'm getting a $101,000 Toyota Sequoia at 5.9%? lol
The reason the third row seat retraction is slow is because the third row passengers also have a button to the same motor to recline the seat back…so you don’t want that to be too fast.

Got a 2020 QX80 Luxe and am quite happy with it. Reliable. Powerful. Quiet. Comfy. Solid. Fast but thirsty. Tows 8500 lbs.
Rentedthis for a road trip from Louisville to Detroit, was really comfortable, loved the comfortable drive , space and trunk space.

Old while driving? I drive this SUV! Love it. This SUV floats, handles snow perfectly, very comfortable. Our gas mileage is 23 MPH on highway.

The wood veneer is classic and beautiful
Do the second row seats recline??
Been waiting for this review bt finally! Lets wait for the new one for sure
This car is absolutely gorgeous from the front, but it all falls apart both in the rear, and in the interior.
I’ve always loved this suv. Don’t like the interior in 2023 though

I’m going to test drive this soon!!

Looks like the original 2016 version, but blown up. Like its inflated. Everythins is bulging out.
Please make a video on the Land Cruiser 300 zx and gr trims🙏🙏🙏
it looks decent except the back side window
Moms are in the market for it. The arm rest & high seat is going to work great for moms towing their kiddos.
It’s based on the Nissan Patrol. Not the Armada. FYI.
Infiniti is offering pretty generous discounts to move these at most dealerships...so don't compare MSRPs

Reality just got one outdated interior all very good quality materials wood is wood leather is leather it hard to explain but it fill really good
Maybe you think that it has. Me,😊not so much.
Dubai’s Nissan Patrol beats this
More like 14 city and 20 hwy in real world use.
Still better than any Toyota/Lexus on the market. 🤌
That why they are outselling all those Toyota options…no one buys these in the US.
