Devendra Banhart’s latest album “Flying Wig” is a landscape of recurrent dualities; a can of paradoxes, a box of worms. What goes up, must come down, eventually. Battle-scarred by life and loss, in this new work Banhart steps outside of himself to examine the unspeakable, and is suddenly freer than a bird. In this conversation with Italian artist Guinevere, the two will explore the concepts of roots, process, and transformation in Banhart’s musical journey.
