So outside the hot sexy vampire man, the lore and plot is kinda mid or even worse. I’m not gonna sit here and just tell you this if I haven’t watched the movie, I’ve been watching it with my mom since I was like 6 or something when the first one came out 😭 I ate it up at the time but the more you open yourself to more books, you I realize twilight is actually very weak (not physically, just that it’s story is very lack luster)

I've always loved the theory that because this was a relatively early performance for Robert and his future roles have proven that he's a very talented actor, it's absolutely possible that every weird choice he makes in this movie was exactly what the director and studio where looking for.
Tbf the books did not give him much of a leeway to reinterpret the character - Edward is honestly a very weird young-notyoung man. Robert still killed it tho, no matter how much he hated the character.
@@norasyikinali6283 Apparently Midnight Sun (it’s Twilight from Edward’s POV) further proves how weird and awkward Edward is lol. He overthinks everything.
Pattinson says outright that he hated the character from the jump, doesn't help that Edward got barely anything to work with as a character.
Honestly alot of it is probably the director fault than their acting skills. Kstew and RobPat both acted before Twilight and they’re not even that bad. Directors are suppose to give directions on how the character should be portrayed so i guess they envisioned the characters to be incredibly awkward

Amazingly well-edited clip. This watchalong was magical. At any given time, there was at least one person unironically eating it all up, someone else acting identically but being ironic, somebody nitpicking or hating on it, someone just making jokes the whole way, etc. What a great movie-watching energy for such a famous and infamous film. For all people make fun, it's worth noting how many specific scenes have stuck in my brain for literal decades now. It's not forgettable, that's for sure.
That's exactly the reason this video turned out to be so long xD I normally get burnt out, but I had to watch this entire thing MULTIPLE TIMES to edit the watchalong and it's like... I just fell in love with this stream! It really was a magical watchalong, man. It was just good vibes that made me want to keep editing LOL

Ah Twilight, the memories. Some of the school scenes that were shot in the movie was actually from my old High school, more specifically the cafeteria and one of the foyer scenes but they were shot during and a year after my graduating year. I rmb the area being sealed off and ppl were watching but I had no interest at the time so I ignored it. No regrets. 😄
Even NijiEN watchalong is still a better love story than Twilight xD

Fun Fact for those interested: my mother MADE me and my dad watch ALL the Twilight Saga, the Originals and Vampire diaries all the time and we would sit on the couches all huddled up and watch it as my mom smiled. They'd throw the blanket over my head for certain scenes but I'd always peek. So while watching this video I barely needed to even look at the screen to understand what they were talking about because its been imprinted into my brain. From the fights to the cringiest puppy love, I have a crystal clear memory of the Taylor Lautner's damn face and whenever I watched a movie of him as a kid and it'd always be "IT'S THE MAN FROM TWILIGHT MOM! MOMMY IT'S MR. JACOB FROM TWILIGHT."
