A Proclamation on National Day Of Prayer
MAY 05, 2021 • PRESIDENTIAL ACTIONS
Throughout our history, Americans of many religions and belief systems have turned to prayer for strength, hope, and guidance. Prayer has nourished countless souls and powered moral movements - including essential fights against racial injustice, child labor, and infringement on the rights of disabled Americans. Prayer is also a daily practice for many, whether it is to ask for help or strength, or to give thanks over blessings bestowed.
The First Amendment to our Constitution protects the rights of free speech and religious liberty, including the right of all Americans to pray. These freedoms have helped us to create and sustain a Nation of remarkable religious vitality and diversity across the generations.
Today, we remember and celebrate the role that the healing balm of prayer can play in our lives and in the life of our Nation. As we continue to confront the crises and challenges of our time - from a deadly pandemic, to the loss of lives and livelihoods in its wake, to a reckoning on racial justice, to the existential threat of climate change - Americans of faith can call upon the power of prayer to provide hope and uplift us for the work ahead. As the late Congressman John Lewis once said, “Nothing can stop the power of a committed and determined people to make a difference in our society. Why? Because human beings are the most dynamic link to the divine on this planet.”
On this National Day of Prayer, we unite with purpose and resolve, and recommit ourselves to the core freedoms that helped define and guide our Nation from its earliest days. We celebrate our incredible good fortune that, as Americans, we can exercise our convictions freely - no matter our faith or beliefs. Let us find in our prayers, however they are delivered, the determination to overcome adversity, rise above our differences, and come together as one Nation to meet this moment in history.
The Congress, by Public Law 100-307, as amended, has called on the President to issue each year a proclamation designating the first Thursday in May as a “National Day of Prayer.”
NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH R. BIDEN JR., President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim May 6, 2021, as a National Day of Prayer. I invite the citizens of our Nation to give thanks, in accordance with their own faiths and consciences, for our many freedoms and blessings, and I join all people of faith in prayers for spiritual guidance, mercy, and protection.

THE ALMIGHTY HAS HEARD MY CRY AND LED ME TO PRAY AND STAND WITH MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS. YES I HAVE MY SECRET PLACE TO BE IN HIS PRESENCE BUT THE LORD KNOWS WE NEED EACH OTHER. WE DRAW STRENGTH AND BELIEVE TOGETHER FOR HIS GOODNESS OF OUR FAITH IN JESUS TO CARRY AND HAVE MERCY GRACE ON HIS AMERICA.. MANY HAVE BEEN CALLED TO PUSH BACK THE DARKNESS IN JESUS NAME. Thank you Brother Dutch for the time you take in “Giving Him 15”. I watch, agree and pray with you each day. In today’s message you mentioned “slavery” and I agree that was a terrible blot on our nation but we always seem to forget to repent for the same atrocities upon the Native American! The inhumanity of man boggles the mind! I would that all pray for the forgiveness for our treatment of the Native Americans when first coming to “their” homeland and, if we would be honest, for their treatment to this day. I don’t see them causing destruction and havoc through the nation nor demanding compensation for these atrocities. So, please, remember them! God Bless you and yours.

Bro. Dutch, I thank my God everyday for being a loving God. I hate to think where we would be without being able to pray to a loving God. I have had a very hard two weeks. The heat has been turned up, but I have a loving God that listens to our prayers and answers them. I am getting ready to move shortly and very excited just waiting upon God to settle everything. I love the title, love, life and liberty. That’s exactly what we have, and we can’t let the devil steal anymore of our blessings.

1988, it's the year God put it in my heart to miss home. I just didn't know it was home w God in heaven. It's good to know it was in the year of national day of prayers; people must have been praying for the country counter acted all the God hating & denying talks which was everytime an American man talked about God & whenever a young American called out the name Jesus in such a tone that the rest of us were saying they were cussing, cursing. Praise God for His people!

I joined the daily prayer using the link provided. It was awesome to pray with others. It lasted 2 hours and was such a blessing. There was opportunity for all to pray or praise God. So many beautiful songs and a trumpet blowing, also an native Indian flute. We all had a chance to sing a new song too, at the same time! I really enjoyed it and plan to join every day now.

Well I'm a little bit upset. All the preachers I watch on UA-cam, all the patriots and pro constitutional people I watch And I haven't heard anything about the day of prayer until it's here??? I had no time to prepare for anything. I'm of course wondering why " I " let this happen. I thought I had a good dose of enough people sharing news to keep me informed. I now see that I need to review my list of news sources.
