Good luck getting a Bloodhound you'll be waiting a long time for a pup has there's always a big waiting l ist for them, and breeders don't just sell em to anyone who wants to buy one. I got interested in the breed in the late 90s after seeing one in a book and wanted one for years. Even joined the club to get familiar with the breed and owners, but never did own one. The short life span was the main put off, as was the bloat issue and that they will run off if they get the chance (a big garden and secure fence is a must). There were quite a number of breeders around the late 90s and early 2000s when I got hooked on them, breeder kennels like Brighton, Chasedown, Sherlock, Cilgwri, Cammonstone, Aspencade, Marskbury and Farlap. I think Farlap and Marksbury are still around, but one or two new breeders have sprung up since then.
We had a litter last year with our two beauties and they were quite difficult to sell , most people seem to love small dogs , but we couldn’t help ourselves, we kept the runt and now have three , lol the only lady in the town with three huge dogs 😂 worth all the effort, so lovely ☺️
Good luck, they are going to be the most stubborn, slobbering, stinky beast you’ve ever seen. I love mine but word of advice get a elevated feeder with a slow feed bowl, (bloat issues) a constant rotation of new toys and always have a rag handy (drool). There not lazy like on tv and are most happy when working, one of mine is a deer shed hunter, the other is a tracking dog (deer mainly) they will go for hours and never slow down they absolutely love to do what they do best which is follow that nose.
@@gregawallace 😂😂 3 years along from there and we had one litter of pups and kept our runt so we have 3 and boy do we have to walk them 😂 I learnt early about bloat and yes they are a handful, but you know they’re the most amazing and loyal dogs iv ever had , were just grumpy around food and iv had them all neutered now so no more pups thankfully! I would recommend them to anyone although you’re definitely right about the slobber 😂😂 we constantly clean up after them , but well worth it and they’re so beautiful 🥰
I LOVED THEM ALLLL

I’m getting two bloodhounds they’re so lovely but really they’re all just as desirable as a great family pet ❤️❤️

10:01 Obviously has never had one.
Beautiful dogs. I think that the Irish Wolfhound should have won though, or at least the Deerhound or Ibizan Hound.
Bravo!!
