    I like it that you've challenged yourself to find a way for this diy. For your spring videos I would wish a simple nail tutorial and hairstyles for curly hair, if possible.

    Yoyo, actually corn syrup is commonly used as a filler because the shelflife is sooo long, roughly 3 years.. mainly found as filler in childrens toys as its not toxic!

  • @DontLeaveMeLucile
    @DontLeaveMeLucile 11 років тому

    did you try burning the edges? The PVC is plastic so you could probably burn the edges with a torch or lighter to seal them better than glue. If I were going to use glue I'd probably use industrial super glue and then burn the edges. and yeah, I'd use corn syrup and food coloring rather than soap.

    HI, I was wondering if your clutch held up?

    • @prankgirl9112
      @prankgirl9112 2 роки тому +1

      This is a late reply but I would add stitches and then glue along side the stitches for extra hold. It should last a while.

    This is AWESOME!!! But I'm wondering, how is going your clutch now? Did it broke? Did the soap turned another color?? Is the plastic becoming weird? Could you do a small post on your blog, or maybe a small video?!? Thanks! :)

      Hi I made this clutch about 5 years ago and after 2 or so years I found that the top shelf of my closet was stained pink😂 the clutxh had somehow spilled its contents while it was sitting there stored. I did use it for a good while and seemed to be a good eye catcher people always asked about it. But once you feel like you will not use for a while and just store it definetly put it inside a plastic bag or bin lol goodluck.

    WHERE WOULD YOU GET PVC!!!!! i live in canada so walgreens and stuff are out of the question

    • @brittanysherman8801
      @brittanysherman8801 8 років тому +1

      +Eryn Bugbee fabric stores should carry it by the utility fabrics. I spotted some at Walmart in the fabric section too, already cut to large sheets. If all else fails, a clear, thick shower curtain would probably do the trick

    does anyone know how you would go about making a phone case in this sort of gel/liquid/transparent style? I've seen a few aquarium iphone cases in shops but they're so expensive so i wanna try make my own! PLEASE HELP AND COMMENT ON THIS IF U KNOW HOW TO!

    • @claudiaisabel6493
      @claudiaisabel6493 8 років тому +1

      umm i have a theory of how you can make it okay you need to find a clear case that has the rubber edge so create what she said in the video the size of the transparent part of the cover and glue it to the outside or inside as you prefer

    use hair gel it's easier than soap

    • @janedoe3209
      @janedoe3209 9 років тому +1

      Dalia Cruz the alcohol in the gel might warp the pvc

  • @ForANightingale
    @ForANightingale 10 років тому +5

    what about clear hand sanitizer?

    • @charligirlxxx
      @charligirlxxx 9 років тому +1

      hand sanitizer has alcohol in it, i'm no expert but i'm pretty sure the alcohol would mess with the PVC of the clutch- i tried this a while ago and i just used clear soap and food coloring-worked fine

    • @janedoe3209
      @janedoe3209 9 років тому

      charligirlxxx do you think hair gel would also be an issue? also how has urs been keeping up? is it still as sturdy as the day you made it?

  • @evelina
    @evelina  11 років тому +1

    I was trying to figure that out myself. I think the easiest way is to either dye the clear vinyl a hot pink, or buy one that's hot pink and pour the dark blue liquid in it.

  • @StudioAnnLe
    @StudioAnnLe 11 років тому +1

    LOOOOVE it!!! They came out super adorable :D have you tried using dish detergent? It's thicker in consistency, less bubbly, and comes in many colors ;)

  • @evelina
    @evelina  11 років тому

    So happy you like it! I think food coloring will work. It just needs to be something clear so it won't make the soap matte, like for example acrylic paint wouldn't work

  • @evelina
    @evelina  11 років тому

    There is only two pieces for the clutch. front and back. Fill them with soap including the flap part:) Let me know if you try it out, I'll guide you though

  • @evelina
    @evelina  11 років тому

    Thank you! Yeah I don't see why it wouldn't, the only thing is that dish soap might foam up a little more, so probably try using hand soap.
